7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
This event is business casual.. We really want our guests to have fun and be comfortable <3
The George Hotel is a brand new fine hotel in the heart of historic downtown Georgetown. This rehearsal/cocktail reception will be held in their inside & outside area, with beautiful views of the marsh. There will be passed hors d'oeuvres, plentiful stations, and lots of beer & wine! So come hungry and thirsty!
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
We want you to look good and feel better. Formal dress encouraged. The average temperature in June is in the mid to late 80's but with humidity it could feel like the mid 90's. Caroline + Adam love to dress up so we encourage others to do the same if they feel comfortable. The grass can be soft though so maybe rethink stilettos.
Loosen up before the tears flow. Everyone will arrive at 150 Prospect Point Loop for a casual greeting, and car parking. At 5:30 there will be a group processional walk down the street to the beach & transportation by golf carts to 44 Eastland Way, where our ceremony will occur. Before the ceremony starts we encourage everyone to enjoy a glass of bubbly, that they can bring to the ceremony (that is if you drink bubbly, of course).
6:00 pm - 6:45 pm
Our ceremony/celebration will occur on the beach just a short walk from the house and will begin once everyone is seated. Starting at 6pm we will begin with a processional, arrival of the groom then the bride, leading into a few remarks from our Officiant. Following this intro will be a very special Unity Ceremony, our declaration of intent and vows, exchange of the rings, and lastly our favorite part, the kiss! After the ceremony we will all walk back to the marsh house for our evening celebration! If any one has any reasons why these two should not get married we don't wanna hear it...
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
I'm pretty sure everyone knows that we like to have a good time.. so it's a requirement that everyone does the same. There will be drinks before and after the ceremony, we can't wait to celebrate with all of our family and closest friends! Food and drink will be a self serving affair and will accommodate all dietary restrictions. Sunset in SC at this time of the year falls around 8:30pm, so our party will begin during the best time of the day, magic hour, leading into a beautiful set over the marsh. Our Wedding Cake will be specially crafted by Caroline's childhood friend Anna Brannigan. Caroline and Adam will cut and eat their cake in unison, followed by a serving to all our guests. Jams will be provided by the Thomas Dean, the east coast's un-official band dad, taste maker and antique 45" picker. Let's Dance.
