Marielle and Caroline met during freshman orientation at the University of Minnesota. Caroline was pretending she was tool cool (shy) for orientation and "didn't care" who her roommate was for the night. Luckily Marielle asked her to be orientation roomies and in classic teenage girl fashion, they stayed up most of the night talking and the rest is history!

Cate is Caroline's sister in law through her brother Sam and is the sister she never had and always wanted. Cate has been part of the family for over 20 years and there are too many memories to even count!

Kendra and Caroline first met in 6th grade at Woodland Middle school, and became inseparable in high school. From all the (slightly hazy) memories of college and on through the life changes of growing up, they have remained steadfast friends!
Angela Harper

Caroline met Angie when she was interviewing for her former job at Shattuck-St. Mary's school. Caroline knew right away that if she got this job she was going to have a friend in Angie! Working at a boarding school is a different beast and while the forced proximity can be hard for some, for Caroline and Angie it created an unbreakable bond even after they both moved on to different jobs in different cities.
Deanna Brewer

Caroline met Deanna through Marielle when they were in her wedding together. They both describe their first impression of each other as "ugh if I have to stand next to her in the wedding I'm going to look so ugly because she's too pretty". They quickly got over their concerns and became even closer friends when Nolan came into the picture and instantly hit it off with Deanna's husband, Jim.

Caroline and Abby went to the same high school but rarely crossed paths. Fast forward about 8 years and they reconnected when they were bridesmaids in Marielle's wedding. They became instant friends and bonded over being "crazy dog moms" and being the "forever single" ones...how the tables have turned for both of them now!

Paul is Nolan's oldest brother, and in family tradition will be serving as the co-best man.

Nolan and Bryan met in college at Eau Claire. They have a plethora of stories from their college days and have remained friends through it all, these days enjoying hitting the golf course with the college buds whenever they can.

Nolan and Mike also met in college and were roommates throughout the whole time. They continue to enjoy boys golfing trips with the college buds when they can!

Sam is Caroline's older brother and while she did consider putting him in a dress and making him her man of honor...they decided it would be best if he stood with the men by Nolan's side.
Jack Martinsen

Nolan and Jack grew up in the same area and have been friends for many years. Nolan has spent a lot of time at Jack's northern Wisconsin resort doing everything from helping in the kitchen and behind the bar, building a house, and of course cutting a hole in the frozen lake with a chainsaw so they could jump in the lake after a winter sauna.
