On the night of September 4, 2016, the plan was to go to a bar to celebrate my birthday, not knowing that night would be the night I would meet Miguel. After a short introduction by a friend in common, our group decided to go to the concert of Fede Le Grand. The night was amazing, the concert was so much fun and I celebrated with a couple of friends. At the end of the night I left without saying goodbye to Miguel. I never imagined that the next day, he would contact me on Facebook and invite me to our first date.

Reminiscing back in time we laugh at our every first. Our first Kiss- Our first kiss was when I was sick as a dog, Miguel came over to bring me some chicken soup and take care of me, even though we had only gone out on a couple of dates, we couldn't resist. Thats when it I realized, there may be something more to this! His first I Love you- After a night out at a wonderful dinner, we decided to hit the Piano bar. After dancing and singing all night long, Miguel broke the first I love you. I freaked out, but kept quiet, because perhaps the alcohol may have been an influence. He played it off, like nothing happened the next day! After all, he didn't want to scare me by coming on too strong! Our first time becoming official - Miguel had been persistent about us becoming something more for a couple of months. I wanted to wait longer to get to know him better and take things slower. One day in November as I woke up from a minor surgery anesthesia, Miguel surprised me at the hospital. Minutes later he found out I had been talking to the nurse about my wonderful boyfriend, and all I could do was brag about him. He kept quiet for a week, thinking it was the meds doing all the talking. A week later, during the first time meeting his mom at Thanksgivings, she asked us "are you boyfriend and girlfriend?" Miguel said no while at the same time I responded yes. He turned around and looked at me surprised with the biggest smile on his face! After that the rest is history!

One of our very first conversations Miguel asked "where in the U.S would you like to be that you have not been?". That was an easy question for me, NAPA!!! I love wine and one of my longest desires was to go to visit Napa valley. Speed forward one year, Miguel surprised me to a trip to Napa for my birthday. Although I wanted him to propose there, he managed to keep it all a surprise! It happened at a castle, when I least expected it and it was amazing.. To tell you the truth Miguel forgot what he was going to say, and I didn't even hear him say "will you marry me?". Little did I know Miguel hired a photographer to capture the moment he proposed.
