The ceremony will take place outside. Since it can get a little chilly in October, please make sure to bring a jacket. If the weather is nice, the ceremony will be on grass and the ground can still be wet. There is a short walk (1-2 min) to the ceremony, also through grass. We will provide a range of heel protectors, but please consider bringing some shoes you can change into.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. We'd love to see some color (think sunset shades), but most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and confident in what you wear. Please note that the ceremony will be outside and on grass. Therefore, make sure you bring a jacket in case it is a little chilly. If the weather is nice, the ceremony will take place on grass. If it rained before the ground might be wet. Therefore, consider bringing some shoes to change into.

Please let us know if you can join us by August 31st 2025. The earlier we know, the better we can plan :)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking available at the location.

Will there be transport from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Our guests are staying at different hotels and Airbnbs. Since the wedding ends at 3am in the morning, we realize that guests will be leaving at different times. Therefore, we can't accomodate transport for all our guests. We will inform taxi providers prior to the wedding to ensure there will be enough transport available. The drive from Bensheim is around 15 min. Phone numbers to follow shortly. If you need any help scheduling a taxi pick up, please let us know and we're happy to help.

When should I arrive to the location?

The ceremony will start at 3pm. Please be sure to arrive 20-30 min prior to the start.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same place?

Answer

Yes, our ceremony and reception will take place at Hofgut Hohenstein.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your kids are absolutely welcome to join. There’s also a lactation/quiet room at the venue for your convenience. Of course, we totally understand if you'd prefer some kid-free time too! :) IMPORTANT: Please note that the venue doesn’t allow kids' painting materials. If you'd like to keep your little ones entertained, we kindly ask you to keep this in mind.

Do you have a registry?

We understand that many of you are travelling very far to be at our wedding and spending time with you is already the biggest gift! If you would still like to gift something, we'd be happy to receive a financial contribution towards our honeymoon piggy bank.
