Madrid-Barajas Airport

If you are flying to Madrid the best options to get to Altea are: A. Rent a car in Madrid and drive directly to Altea (approx. 4 hr drive); B. Book a short flight to Alicante (1 hr duration) and from Alicante you can either 1) rent a car and drive to Altea (45 min) (car rentals are usually pretty cheap); or 2) take the bus to Altea (1h 25 min). Link to book the bus: https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/bus-stations/alicante-station; C. Take the AVE fast-speed train (2hr 15 min ride) from Madrid to Alicante. Link to book: https://www.renfe.com/es/en. Then, you can either rent a car or take the bus from Alicante to Altea (as stated above). We recommend you get a car to move around Altea and to visit other nearby towns/cities. There is public transportation in Altea but since it is a small town it's not as reliable as it would be in other big cities.

Alicante is the closest airport from Altea. Once you fly in from Alicante you can either: A) Rent a car from the Airport and drive directly to Altea (approx 40 mins drive) (approx. cost 25 USD for 3 days) -- most recommended option! B) Take a taxi to Altea (Cost of approx 80-100 USD); C) Take the ALSA Bus from Alicante Airport to Altea (Cost of approx. 11-17 USD) (duration of approx. 1h 30 mins).

This beautiful hotel is the closest to our venue (3 mins walk) and is directly on the beach! It also offers a pool and beautiful ocean views. This hotel is a beautiful and charming hotel located in the heart of Altea (by the old town). It is 10 minutes by car from our wedding venue. The hotel offers unique bedrooms (each room is different and uniquely decorated), 5 cozy houses, and 2 studios that you can book as well (price ranges 153 EUR with early discount applied).
