Sarah Hayes

Maid of Honor

If you don't know Sarah, you will by the end of the wedding day! Sarah is my little sister, even though we are 6 years apart I still go to her for her opinion on everything. She is one of the most artistic & determined people I know. My favorite memory is her trying out horseback riding one summer & ending that week saying "ya that's Carol's thing, not mine." We often joke one of us has to be adopted because we are so different, but that's what I love most about her. She is not afraid to be herself! She loves everyone around her wholeheartedly & never leaves someone feeling unknown. I couldn't imagine having anyone else by my side on this special day.

Jimmy Calhoun

Best Man

I met Jimmy freshman year of high school. He was a mutual friend of Carol & I’s, so I guess we can credit a little bit of our meeting to Jimmy. We played baseball together throughout our years at St. Francis and he became the brother I never had. He lived less than 5 minutes away so I found myself at his house often. Jimmy is always down for an adventure, whether that’s to the beach, to truck week, or anywhere in between I can count on him. Jimmy has always supported me over the years and I’m happy to have him stand with me as my best man in this day.

Rachel Phillips

Bridesmaid

My first built-in friend! Rachel is my cousin and truly my first friend, she had no choice but to embrace me because at any family gathering I'd stick to her side. We'd come up with choreographed dances to Hannah Montana, Jo Bros, or whatever pop song was next on Disney channel. These memories will forever be my favorite and now as we grow up we make it a priority to spend time together, even living hours apart. She was the first family member to see me engaged as our second stop on our road trip was in Charlotte, NC. That too was a special weekend that I will forever hold close. Spending time with her is always fun and I leave her always feeling refreshed and loved. Can't wait to have her celebrate this season and day with Steven and I!

Billy Henton

Groomsman

Billy is someone who I met only a few years ago but he has my back no matter what. I met him through my previous job at firestone just by constant instances of running into each other. Billy is one of the most supportive, steadfast, and humble guys I’ve met. He’s the type of guy to call up at any time of the day and he will be there to help you or partake in any crazy idea you have. Billy always knows how to take a positive outlook on life and can bring energy to any room. I’m thankful to have him stand next to me.

KJ Pearson

Bridesmaid

KJ, the person who helped Steven plan a proposal in under 24 hours! I've never gotten closer to a person in a shorter amount of time! KJ and I worked at a barn together for a short period of time, but it wasn't until 6 months later on her 20th birthday when we actually began hanging out. From that day on we have talked on the phone every day - sometimes we just sit in silence, but that describes our friendship perfectly. The company of each other listening and just being there is all we need. She is one of the hardest working people I know and has one of the biggest hearts you'll ever meet. There aren't enough words to describe how much KJ means to Steven & I. She truly is a friend of ours till the end and we are blessed to have KJ in our lives and stand with us on this wonderful day.

Rick Smith

Groomsman

Carol introduced me to Rick. I think our first meeting was through her job at UF. My friendship with Rick was quick to start, but that talks to Ricks character. He’s kind, outgoing, and fun to be around. We have a lot of the same interests through music, sports, and life. About a year after meeting, Rick and I became roommates. Rick is my gym buddy & will give anyone a run for their money in a basketball game! Grateful to have Rick as a groomsman & as a friend to Carol & I. Rick is truly a brother to me. I grew up with him as our moms worked together. Crossing paths again after high school and introducing him to Steven has been extra special and we can’t imagine our lives without Ricky. -Carol

Grace Parent

Bridesmaid

Grace is one of my best friends from high school & we've been inseparable since freshman year. I can go to her with absolutely anything and have her full support and encouragement. To say we've been through the highs and lows together would be an understatement. I love her as if she was another sister to me. From dancing to Ed Sheeran in my living room, to different high schools, and to attending to rival colleges (don't worry she's a Gator now), Grace has been a constant in my life. She is a friend I hold close to my heart, and I am thankful to have her by my side since we were awkward high school freshmen. We've been dreaming of this day for years on our Pinterest boards and it's finally here! So excited to have this day become a reality with her by my side.

Damariel Causey

Groomsman

Damariel is also someone I met in high school. We both played basketball for a short lived two years, but played baseball through all of high school. Damariel is someone who regardless of the time since you’ve last talked, your friendship picks up like no time lost. He’s hardworking, energetic, and cares so much about those around him. He puts 110% into anything he does and never leaves a room without a positive impact. Carol & I are excited to share this day with one of our high school friends, and I’m thankful to have his friendship all these years.

Zoey Minor

Bridesmaid

Zoey and her family moved when I was very little and I don't know why but one of the most vivid memories I have is crying and saying goodbye to her on a dark Florida evening. But around 2015 she came to visit, and when I say we picked up like no time was lost I mean it! It is crazy, but it shows how authentic and loving she is. Zoey has been on more adventures with me than probably most people... and not all are fun (I lock my keys in my car often when she visits), but she makes every moment a memory I never want to forget. She embraces every second we are together and no matter the distance she is a friend to lean on anytime. She brings life to any room and is a friend to everyone she meets. I am beyond blessed to have Zoey stand with me on this special day!

Noah Shultz

Groomsman

Noah is one of my oldest friends. He has been my neighbor since I was in Kindergarten. One of my favorite memories with Noah was putting on our Halloween Haunted House through middle school and high school. I don’t think we ever realized how much our neighborhood missed it until we went off to college and stopped the tradition. Noah and I also in high school started our detailing business that we continue to this day. It’s bittersweet that I won’t have Noah as a neighbor anymore after all these years, but I know he will always be a friend in my corner. Happy to have Noah stand next to me on my wedding day.

Lainey Bryan

Bridesmaid

I have Lainey programmed into my phone as "mom" because she was my big in Kappa. She randomly chose my name on bid day and I am forever thankful she did because she is the best thing Kappa gave me. The first week in kappa she saw my tears, embraced me, and helped me adjust to college. She is truly the kindest person I know. She is driven in her faith, loves those around her with her whole heart, and inspires me to be a better person. I know God placed her in my life and I am thankful that he did because what on earth would I do without her wisdom and endless support. I had the pleasure of walking beside her in her wedding and I am thankful to have her beside me in mine.

Rachel Caldwell

Bridesmaid

Rachel is one of the most caring people I've ever met. She loves her friends so much and will do anything for them. Rachel and I didn't become close until we had classes together during our last two undergrad years. Naturally, horses brought us together (thank you UF Equine Science). We leaned on each other so much these last two years, but I don't think she realized how much she helped keep me going! I had the pleasure of helping Rachel move out to Texas after graduation and it was such a fun yet bitter-sweet time. I'm never good at goodbyes, but seeing one of my best friends do something so courageous and go out on a whim to create a career path for herself was inspiring and exciting. Rachel pushes me to follow my own goals & I'm so lucky to have her beside me on this special day.

Alyssa Ohmstede

Bridesmaid

Alyssa is one of the first real friends I made at UF through the hunt seat team. She is a year older and took me in as a little sister. She then later was a captain with me of that very same team that brought us together. We have memories of laughs, tears, and exhaustion but I wouldn't have it any other way. She has shared in my successes with me (she was crying as I won nationals) & through my failures (rip chem 2 together). She is my go-to concert buddy and go-to adventurer. No matter the last-minute time frame if she's available, she's my shotgun rider (especially in my spontaneous taco bell adventures). She may never know how much she shaped my college career, but I know I am forever grateful for her guidance. I am excited to have my co-captain stand beside me on my wedding day!
