Flight

Flying into Italy

Perugia Santegidio/San Francesco d'Assisi Airport (PEG) is the closest airport to the venue. If that's not an option, the wedding venue is between Florence (FLR) and Rome (FCO) airports. We've found that if you're flying from the east coast more flights leave for FCO, so there are more affordable flight options. However, check both options to see if Florence or Rome is a better destination airport for you.

Rental Car

Enterprise @ Leonardo da Vinci International Airport

If you enjoy driving and having a car at your disposal, we had a good experience using Enterprise directly from FCO airport.

Train

Take the Train from Rome

Take the 30 minute Leonardo Express train from the airport to Roma Termini (about 14 euros). Switch to a regional TrenItalia train to Assisi (~4 hours) for about 22 euros.

Take the Train from Florence

Take the 18 minute air train from FLR airport to Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. Then jump on a TrenItalia train to Assisi (~ 2.5 hours) for about 20 euros.

A shuttle will pick up guests staying near Assisi at the Piazza Giovanni Paolo II main parking plaza on the day of the wedding. (The ride is only about 5 to 10 minutes so if you miss this shuttle you could take a taxi up.)
