Courtney Adkins

Bride

I'm Courtney! I am a 3rd grade teacher, and I definitely have the personality of one. I knew that I loved Josh when I realized how selfless and caring he was when he would drive from Westfield (which is already an hour from his then home in Greenwood) to come and visit me in Muncie every Friday, even if it was only for a few hours. He is the most loving, caring, and amazingly humble man that I have ever met. He amazes me with the little things that he does for me. Whether it be picking up cantaloupe when he knows I'll want to have it on a Saturday morning, starting dinner so that I can nap after a long day at school, or leaving me little notes around our apartment with cute things written on them. I fall in love with him more every single day. I can't wait to be his wife!

Josh Carmichael

Groom

I'm Josh, I am a production planner at Indiana Mills and Manufacturing Inc. When I started dating Courtney, in September of 2017, it was not long before I realized that this loving, beautiful, and funny woman might be "the one". This feeling only grew as our relationship continued, and she became the one to help me see that life is not to be spent laboring over a computer for work, but to be enjoyed through the little moments. weather that be staying in on a Friday night, or going to Scotty's and having, possibly, the worlds spiciest buffalo chicken wrap, even though you know your stomach will hate you later. Now this feeling, instead of a "might be", blossomed into a "she is the one". There was still one condition though...she had to say "Yes". Now, I can't wait to hear the words "I do".

Nicole Adkins

Maid of Honor

I’m Nicole, a coffee loving, adventure seeking, painting making, Boilermaker biochemistry student, and proud little sister to the bride. And I have the extreme pleasure of being my beautiful big sister’s Maid of Honor. I have been blessed to have had the honor to see Courtney and Josh’s relationship bloom from the very beginning and I am excited to stand in support of them now, on their wedding day!

Nathan Carmichael

Best Man

I'm Nathan. I was in the same room with the groom for about 7.5 months. He was an awful room mate! He stole all my food and he beat on me. 25 years later be has the audacity to ask me to be his best man so here we are. 😂

Erin Adkins

Bridesmaid

Hello everyone! I'm Erin, the proud older sister of the bride! A few things about me: I am a HUGE animal lover, so much so, I became a zoo keeper who works with all kinds of animals from squirrels to tigers. I am also a big music, movie, and book lover. I am so excited to welcome Josh to the family. I am so excited to be a part of this wedding! Everytime I am with Courtney and Josh together I can undoubtedly tell that they make each other so happy. And really that's all I can wish for the both of them with this next step in life!

Thrasher (David) Carmichael

Groomsman

Hi, I am Thrasher, the other egg. I am quite literally a natural example a third-wheel to this triplet gang. I am also a clinic manager, a boilermaker, lover of photography, and I love bringing joy and smiles to friends and people I meet. I have had the joy of witnessing Josh and Courtney’s relationship grow from the beginning and couldn’t happier to stand alongside them on their big day. Cheers!

Kendall Troyer

Bridesmaid

Hi, I'm Kendall! I teach little people, around the age of 3! I love spending time with family and friends! I met Courtney our freshman year at Ball State! Thankfully this wonderful girl lived down the hall from me that year! We have been amazing friends ever since. I can't wait to spend time with Courtney and Josh on their special day!

Jacob Branam

Groomsman

My name is Jacob and I am the pseudo-brother Josh was forced to have. I work with high school special services students, play video games, I also do kickboxing and camping. I don’t remember exactly how I met Josh, but I do know it was in 2008 when we were in 8th grade I forged a friendship that instantly became something special. I like to claim him and Nathan as my best friends, and that title has been well earned. My favorite memory of him was his 21st birthday and the next morning. While struggling with a headache, he was searching for his belt. Being the good friend I am, I let him search my house for ten or so minutes before reminding him that he was wearing his belt. After all these years, everything I can say boils down to this – good luck Courtney. He’s all yours now.

Lauren Marcum-White

Bridesmaid

Heyooo! I’m Lauren. I’m a corgi momma, first and foremost, but also a graphic designer by trade. My weird, quirkiness is how I managed to hook Courtney as my best friend in first grade. We’ve been BFFAFL’s (best friends forever and for life) for 17 years now, and its been such a blessing to see Josh and Courtney blossom into the couple they are now. I definitely cannot wait to see what marriage will bring to them, so let’s get these two hitched!

Josh Truitt

Groomsman

I don't remember when I met Josh. I feel like Josh was always there. As far back I can remember there was Josh. One memory I have of Josh is him doing the dishes in his Sunday best with an apron at my in-laws house after a peculiarly raucous bachelor party. The perfect specimen of masculinity, despite being in the pains of hungoverness, did my dishes for me like a true friend

Chloe Babusiak

Bridesmaid

I’m Chloe- a dancer, a dreamer, an adventurer, and a teacher! I met the beautiful bride in college during a Children’s lit class. She met me one semester later at sorority recruitment (😜) and we became the BEST Big/Little pair Pi Beta Phi has ever known. Josh told me he was going to propose to Courtney about 2 months in advance and it was such an excruciating secret to keep for so long! I’m so happy for the two of them and I’m so blessed to be standing by them on their special day!

Joe Guilfoyle

Groomsman

I'm Joe. A gamer, a Kelley grad, a boxer for fun, and proud supreme best friend of the groom. I was lucky enough to meet Josh through Josh within the first or second week of our freshmen years where we allowed a silly card game to take over our lives and our wallets. Since then, we've encounter a near death experience playing Pokemon Go, countless birthdays at 9 Irish Brothers, and meeting the famous Chuck Liddel at Kilroys after renting lime scooters while half intoxicated to drive 4 miles for breadsticks.
