We met the way only teenagers do, in high school marching band of all places. Surrounded by music, early mornings, and halftime shows, we became friends first, never knowing how important that friendship would become. Life, as it often does, had other plans at the time. I was engaged, he was dating someone else, and there was never an idea of “us.” Then one unexpected night — and a single kiss — changed everything. In that moment, what felt right and what should have been all along finally became clear. What began as a chance moment became a realization that this connection was something deeper, something that had been quietly growing all along. Friendship turned into love, and love turned into a life we chose together. We were married in New York City on New Year’s Eve, ringing in not just a new year, but a new chapter. Since then, 25 years have flown by, filled with laughter, challenges, growth, three amazing kids, several beloved dogs, and countless memories that shaped who we are today. Now, after all this time, we are finally having our wedding — not because the love is new, but because it has stood the test of time. This celebration is for every moment we’ve shared, every hurdle we’ve overcome, and all the beautiful moments still waiting for us ahead.
