Our wedding is an ADULTS-ONLY event. We love your kids, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 18 on our wedding day.
The entire wedding weekend will be held at Nantahala Wedding & Events. See travel page for more details!
Semi-Formal: Suits and ties are encouraged. Gowns, cocktail dresses, and dressy separates are welcome. Please no jeans or hats. Ladies, please wear or bring appropriate walking shoes. Wedges or thick block heels are manageable, but we do not recommend traditional heels unless you plan to change at the site for photos. This is a mountain wedding—the view will be worth it! Wear your favorite color, but please save any variation of white, beige, or cream for the bride ◡̈
We kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend, unless you are specifically told otherwise.
Yes, there are approximately 50 parking spaces next to the venue. Parking is free of charge.
In late September, the weather at Lake Nantahala typically has highs in the mid-70s and crisp evening lows in the mid-50s. We would recommend a jacket or cover-up for the evening.
The wedding will take place outdoors, and the reception will also take place outdoors, underneath a large pavilion. However, we do have precautions in case of rain! ◡̈

While the venue is handicap accessible, it's important to note that it is situated on a steep hill with both gravel and paved walkways. To accommodate guests requiring mobility assistance, we will be utilizing the venue's motorized transportation services to facilitate easy navigation up and down the hill.
Check out the "Travel" page on the website. Since this is considered a Destination Wedding, we HIGHLY recommend booking one of the rental homes on Lake Nantahala. There are 17 vacation homes within walking distance that sleep up to 116 people. An additional 75+ vacation homes are available for rent within a 5-10-minute drive, just search Lake Nantahala on VRBO or Airbnb. We put together a Google Sheet of all of the homes available within walking distance. We recommend booking your vacation rental ASAP, especially if you want to rent one of the homes closest to the venue. Click the button below to view the spreadsheet. We recommend staying with other people that are also attending the wedding. If you would like to know who is on the guest list, text Carly and/or Parker.
