Things To Do
Mackinac Island
For those that are trying to stay a few extra days and explore northern Michigan, Mackinac Island is always a great place to visit. It’s an hour drive from the resort and a quick ferry ride to the island. There are no cars on the island, so bring your walking shoes or rent a bike for the day. You can bike around the island or check out the several bars, restaurants, and gift shops. There are also lots of historic buildings, forts, and the Grand Hotel that you can explore.
AuSable River
Taking a trip down the river is one of our favorite things to do while we're in town. Grayling has a few options for canoe and kayak rentals, including Penrod's, Borcher's, and Carlisle's, that pick you up and take you back to your vehicle after your trip is done.
Hartwick Pines State Park
Hartwick Pines is a little under thirty minutes from the resort. It has beautiful walking and biking trails and some historic things along the way from back in the logging industry days.
Treetops Resort
If you enjoy golf, you can pop in the car for a ten minute drive to Treetops Resort to get in a quick nine holes.
