Hotel
Please note there are plenty of Airbnbs/homes for rent on Nantucket that often offer a more affordable option than hotels if you have a group to stay with. Carly is happy to help you coordinate a place to stay or group to stay with!
Flight
JetBlue and United have flights from most major cities on the East Coast direct to Nantucket. Cape Air is a great option if flying from Boston or Hyannis.
Travel Note
The link below is a wonderful resource for all ferry schedules to and from the island. Please make sure you are looking at the correct date range. If you'd like to depart from Hyannis, MA - the Steamship Authority and Hyline Cruises are both great options. If you'd like to depart from New Bedford, MA - the SeaStreak is a great option.
Rental Car
Boston is about an hour and a half with no traffic to the ferry in Hyannis that takes you to Nantucket. Please allow ample spare time to account for traffic in your travel time given the long weekend, and for parking, walking to ferry, etc. There are buses that can take you from Boston Logan Airport or South Station to the Hyannis Transportation Center (10 minute walk/5 minute drive from the ferries). Peter Pan Bus Lines or Plymouth & Brockton Bus Lines are the two most common, but occasionally there are other good options as well! Uber is also an option to get from Boston to Hyannis.
Train
We've taken Amtrak several times - it can be a great option to get to Boston from NYC, NJ, or DC. Once in Boston we'd recommend flying direct to Nantucket, or renting a car or taking the bus to Hyannis then taking a ferry.
Rental Car
Once on Nantucket, you can get to many spots via The Wave (local free bus, use their website or visit downtown location for schedules), taxi, uber, or walking from town! Spots like Cisco Brewery also have their own buses that can take you there. If you wish to rent a car, the link below is a recommended local company. Otherwise Truro, or other local places would be your best bet.
