San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Beautiful desert scenery with easy to hard hikes. One of our favorite areas!
South Mountain Park
More mild hiking scenic trails with beautiful views of the entire Phoenix valley!
Hieroglyphic Trail Superstition Mountains
Another beautiful hike with real hieroglyphs. Not too difficult and a short hike. Parking gets full fast so go in the morning or you can go in the evening for a sunset view of east Phoenix.
Topgolf
Not your average driving range. Fun and challenging golf games! Near San Tan Village. One of Cameron's favorite places.
Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum
Cameron's favorite museum in the area. Walk through some of the rarest aircraft used in history. If you book ahead of time, you can take a ride in many of the aircraft on display. *Cameron's favorite is the B-17 Boeing Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey"
Phoenix Art Museum
Large museum with a variety of exhibits.
Arizona Museum of Natural History
Always a fun museum. Maybe call ahead to see if there are 400 children on a field trip that day...trust us!

Amazing indoor rock climbing with very friendly staff. Carly's first rock climb!
Black Rock Coffee Bar
One of our favorite coffee spots. Many locations throughout the area. Excellent coffee, and their staff is always friendly!
Queen Creek Olive Mill
Excellent brunch spot, with a marketplace selling local goods! Dozens of flavored oils and vinegars, fresh bakery, and wine! Feel free to even go on a tour of the Olive Mill. Cameron's Aunt Chris has many flavors of her Tea Royalty available, and don't forget to grab some Hayden Flour Mills products before you go! Enjoy!
Elmer's Tacos
Best tacos in town! The restaurant has been in business for 45 years and is always a must when Cameron's family visits from Seattle. The tacos are amazing, but don't forget to buy a box of strips and cheese to enjoy before your food is ready!
The Wild Vine Uncorked
Relaxing setting, great wine selection and don't forget to enjoy a charcuterie board...our favorite.

A favorite date night spot. Voted the best ramen in Phoenix and the craft cocktails are amazing!
Sedona
One of the most stunning places in Arizona! Easy day trip up north. If you go, be sure to have lunch at The Hudson restaurant (671 State Rte 179, Unit D, Sedona, AZ 86336), this restaurant has the best views of Sedona and amazing food and wine. Don't forget to shop at the beautiful Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village, Carly's favorite shopping in Sedona! 153 miles (2 1/2 hour drive) from the reception site.
Tombstone
Cameron's favorite old west town! Day trip to southern Arizona. If you have seen the movie Tombstone this is the place where it really happened. Check out the O.K. Corral, walk through the original Bird Cage Theater with original artifacts and bullet holes still in the ceiling from drunk cowboys in the 1880's. 173 miles (about 3 hours) drive from the reception site.
