Southern VT is best enjoyed slowly. We recommend 2–3 nights if you can swing it—enough time for the wedding and to soak up some Vermont charm and fresh air.
Driving is the best (and really only) option—there’s no public transportation in the area, so plan on having a car.
We recommend staying at one of our two Peru lodging options or a local Airbnb (Peru, Weston, Londonderry), if possible. If you’re looking for more of a downtown vibe, Manchester has some great places to stay too but will require about a 20 minute drive. There will be a shuttle but info is TBD!
Semi formal. Vermont prom. Garden party. Comfy shoes Please skip the high heels… Mike takes great care of his lawn and doesn’t need it aerated.
Early September in southern Vermont typically offers warm, sunny days followed by noticeably cooler evenings. Plan for plenty of sunshine, and be sure to pack an extra layer for when temperatures drop after dark.
We ask all guests to take the shuttle from one of the designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
Welcome to life 'over the mountain'. No rideshares. Cell service is spotty. WiFi now exists—and we’re very proud of it. Consider this a chance to unplug.
The ceremony begins at 4:30 PM. Please plan to arrive at your shuttle pickup location by 3:30–3:45 PM. Exact shuttle departure times will be shared closer to the date.
The wedding is fully outdoors!
It’s Vermont in the summer—probably a few. We’ll have bug spray, but feel free to bring your favorite.
