The Twin Cities are a special place in the winter. Whether you want to spend time exploring art museums, breweries, or brave the cold and check out the frozen lakes and trails, here are some of our favorite places.

This is the brewery that led the way for craft beer in Minnesota. It is a fun place to try unique beer, and the food is great as well.

Surly Brewing Co.

A great brewery in the Northeast neighborhood of Minneapolis - there are plenty of other great breweries nearby as well!

Indeed Brewing Company and Taproom

This brewery is located right next to Vistabule's shop - where Shane worked to build teardrop camper trailers. The brewery is also next door to Can Can Wonderland, which is a really unique and fun place to check out as well.

BlackStack Brewing

An all-time family favorite. If you have a couple of days in the cities, be sure to check this restaurant out for an early dinner. It is well worth the wait!

Broders' Pasta Bar

Home of one of the original "Juicy Luicy" hamburgers (a burger stuffed with cheese - yeah). There is also a bowling alley downstairs.

The Nook

If you like great coffee, this is worth a stop. They have several locations around the Twin Cities, and this one is located pretty close to the Semple Mansion.

Spyhouse Coffee

A great art museum, also located by a beautiful park!

Walker Art Center

One of our favorite lakes to walk around.

Lake of the Isles

This is Carly's favorite local park - it has everything to do with its proximity to the landing path at MSP airport. The trails are great, too.

Fort Snelling State Park Trail

Check out some (possibly) frozen waterfalls!
