Dog Beach

Adorable puppers playing at a giant off-leash beach. Unlike playgrounds, it is not weird to go here without your own dog. 13/10 recommend.
Balboa Park

One of our favorite date spots :) Go and just walk around! This is also where you'll find the zoo and tons of museums.
Torrey Pines State Reserve

This hike is a requirement when visiting San Diego because it's THAT gorgeous. Do the beach trail. Only 2.3 miles, and the last bit of it is all along the beach.

Hike Torrey Pines and afterwards go drown yourself in tacos and margaritas. You earned it, and this place is absolutely delicious.
Iron Mountain Trailhead

For those looking for some nature time. This hike is about 6 miles round trip, and has some great views once you get to the summit.
