Things To Do

For our out-of-town guests, please see our recommendations below for things to eat, shop, and explore!

Kaldi's Coffee

187 Carondelet Plaza, Clayton, MO 63105

Coffee shop down the street from the Ritz Carlton hotel. Great for coffee, great pastries, and snacks.

City Coffee & Creperie

36 North Brentwood Boulevard, Clayton, MO 63105

A great breakfast / lunch spot in Clayton. Fantastic crepes, and salads! A must go to if you have time.

Sportsman's Park Restaurant & Bar

9901 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63124

This is a local favorite sports bar where Carly and the Rosenthal's are regulars. The BEST place for a good wrap/salad/burger/wings!! Carly's favorite = BBQ Chicken Wrap & Curly Fries

Companion Bakery & Cafe

9781 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63124

Another local spot (in Ladue), famous for it's incredible sandwiches & salads, and owner is Bravo's Andy Cohen's cousin! Tip: Order To Go, this place gets packed!

Pastaria Deli & Wine

7734 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton, MO 63105

Great spot close to the Ritz for lunch/sandwiches!

Half & Half

8135 Maryland Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63105

Half & Half is a great breakfast, lunch and brunch destination in Clayton. It's a quick 5 min drive/uber from the Ritz, or a 20 min walk!

Box Hill Grocer

7628 Wydown Boulevard, Clayton, MO 63105

Box Hill is a small, gourmet neighborhood grocery and specialty food market. Known for their breakfast burritos and sandwiches, as well as soups, salads, pastries, and other grab-and-go foods!

Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery

1200 Lynch Street, St. Louis, MO 63118

Enjoy the best draft Bud Lite you've ever tasted - I swear it tastes different!

The Gateway Arch

St. Louis, MO 63102

Check out the iconic Gateway Arch and if you're feeling really spontaneous, take a tram ride to the top of the Gateway Arch, a 630-foot monument and national park. It takes four minutes to ascend to the top where small windows reveal spectacular views of the Old Courthouse, downtown St. Louis and beyond to the west, and the Mississippi River and Illinois to the east.

Forest Park

St. Louis, MO

One of my favorite places to go in St. Louis and where I do many of my "casual" walks when home! This spot has something for everyone - beautiful greenery, lakes, and over 30 miles of walking and biking trails, plus tennis courts and pickleball courts. It’s also home to several world-class attractions (most of them free), including the Saint Louis Zoo, Art Museum, History Museum, and Science Center. Perfect for fresh air, sightseeing, or working off breakfast/lunch!

Drybar St. Louis - Clayton

7608 Forsyth Boulevard, Clayton, MO 63105

Lusso

165 Carondelet Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63105

Cute boutique next to the Ritz Carlton Hotel!

Plaza Frontenac

1701 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63131

Forget something when packing? Plaza Frontenac has it all - best shopping center in St. Louis.

Ballpark Village

601 Clark Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102

Want to spend the afternoon checking out the St. Louis sports scene? Take an Uber to Ballpark village next to Cardinals Stadium.

Boathouse at Forest Park

6101 Government Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110

Feeling like you need to exercise but don't want to hit the gym? Take out a Paddle Boat and a beer to explore St. Louis's treasure. Don't miss a glimpse of the World's Fair Pavilion and Art Museum on your adventure as you paddle away!

Forest Park Golf Course

6141 Lagoon Drive, St. Louis, MO 63112

If you're a golfer, this is a great public course to check out! It features 3 9-hole courses & practice facilities, plus a shop & a restaurant.
