Is the reception area wheelchair and handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! There is an elevator to the second floor where the reception area will be held.

Will the ceremony and reception take place at the same location?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at Afton Alps! The ceremony will take place outdoors on the lawn (weather permitting) in front of the chalet and the reception will take place upstairs in the chalet.

Is there parking available near Nick and Carly's wedding venue?

Yes, there will be plenty of parking available at Afton Alps.

What is the best way for guests to find Afton Alps venue and parking?

Answer

As guests drive east on 70th St S take a left on St. Croix trail S (otherwise you will enter Afton State Park). Drive straight until a pair of gates are visible and then turn left. Continue down the hill toward the first parking lot adjacent to the chalet and park.

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Nick and Carly recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Is there a reserved hotel block?

Answer

Yes! Nick and Carly have reserved room blocks at one hotel- The Sheraton in Woodbury. On the Travel page guests will be able to click on the link that will take them to the site to book the room at the discounted rate. The discounted rate for the room is $139/night and it is for the nights of May 24th and May 25th.

What is the best way for guests to get to Afton Alps?

Answer

Guests will need to provide their own transportation. Rental car agencies are available at MSP for those arriving at the airport.

What is the dress code for Nick and Carly's wedding?

Answer

Nick and Carly request guests come in semi-formal dress attire.

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

During this time of year the weather fluctuates. A high of 80 or a low of 50 could be expected. Nick and Carly recommend guests bring a nice sweater or suit coat in case the weather is on the cooler side.

Are guests allowed to bring children?

Yes, children are welcome. Please be sure to add them when you RSVP.

What type of food will be served at Nick and Carly's wedding?

The buffet-style meal will include a choice of two main entrees and sides.

Yes, there will be an open bar which can be found upstairs in the chalet where the reception will be taking place.

Is there a link to Nick and Carly's wedding registry?

Yes! There is a link to Nick and Carly's registry on the Registry tab. The gifts they added to their registry have the option for guests to contribute what they wish to a specific item including their Honeymoon Fund!

Will Nick and Carly have a gift table at their reception?

Yes! Nick and Carly will have a gift table upstairs in the chalet where cards can be placed in their card box, or gifts can be placed on the table.

Will there be a time gap between Nick and Carly's ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a 2 hour gap between the ceremony and reception. During this time Nick and Carly will have a ski lift running where guests can ride the lift to the top of the hill to see the beautiful St. Croix valley views. They will also have some games to play outside and appetizers and drinks will be available.

Am I allowed to take photos at Nick and Carly's wedding?

Yes, photos are encouraged. A QR code will be provided for guests to upload photos. Nick and Carly look forward to share in the beautiful moments captured by all guests!

Will Nick and Carly be live streaming their wedding?

No, a live stream of Nick and Carly's wedding will not be available.
