We first met back in 2020 through mutual friends (Cat and Che). We were both moving to the East Coast but different states, and were in relationships. We got along well and when I would visit North Carolina (to see Cat & Che) I would see him and we would all hang out together. We got along well but never thought anything of it until we were both back in Tri-Cities and Carlos asked Mariah on a date in December of 2023. Shortly after he actually ended up being transferred back to Washington (Seattle) and they went on their first date. They did long distance for a few months until Carlos asked to transfer back to the Tri-Cities where they lived together for about 9 months before moving to Colorado.
