When you arrive at the SJU airport, you can get an Uber in the ride share lot. You can use a TAXI (be sure to visit the concierge booth to request one. Most are cash only). If you plan to explore the island beyond the metro area, we recommend renting a car at or near the airport. LYFT does not work in Puero Rico. When you arrive, follow the transportation signs. Once outside, you will find a TAXI stand and a staff member will help you find a driver. All prices to Old San Juan are fixed, so there is no need to haggle or worry about being ripped off. Most, if not all cabs, should take credit card. On the day of your flight out of PR, an Uber is going to be able to drop you off at the airport. Use the link below to find car rental companies available at, or near, the airport. Car rental companies are located in the first level of the parking garage across the street from the terminals.

Use your airline of preference but be sure you are flying into Luis Muñoz Marin Airport (SJU). If you are flying in from Florida, JetBlue and Southwest are normally the best and cheapest options.

Important Vaccination Requirements

In order to be admitted into the island you must complete a "Travel Declaration" which you can access and fill out following the instructions on the site link below. It will produce a QR code which you will have to show along with your vaccination card and an I.D. in order to exit security at the airport. If you do not complete this travel declaration, you'll be setting yourself up for a nightmare, so please get to it! Sometimes it can take 48 hours to get the Code so give yourself a few days in advance to complete this task.
