Renee and Adam met the way all great romances begin: one desk apart at work. In September of 2021, Renee moved to Greenville, SC for a new job, where she and Adam quickly became friends—bonding over creating shareholder value, shared sarcasm, and dog park playdates with their pups, Bailey and Drogo. Though their chemistry was undeniable, Adam insisted on keeping things professional (or maybe he was just nervous—we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt). For nine months, they built a close friendship: Renee would FaceTime Adam after terrible Hinge dates, and Adam would ask her for girl advice. Eventually, Adam asked Renee on a real date—on one condition: it couldn’t ruin their friendship. Renee immediately said yes. Their first date was at Frankie’s Fun Park (because, according to Adam, he needed to see Renee in a batting cage), and from there, the rest was history. When Renee got a job offer in Charlotte, Adam didn’t hesitate—he packed up and moved with her. During a visit, Renee’s mom asked, “Is he the one?” and Renee didn’t skip a beat: “Of course.” Since then, they’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and a lot of dog hair. They bought a home together, and on April 11, 2025, Adam proposed on the beach in Surf City, NC—“surprising” Renee with her entire family and best friend, Christine. They’re so excited to tie the knot on April 18, 2026, in Mooresville, NC, surrounded by their favorite people.
