We recommend that you fly into and out of LaGuardia Airport. It is the closest airport to Manhattan and has recently been modernized. From LGA you can use Uber or Lyft. Public transportation is cheap and available but a little frightening and inconvenient. Traditional Yellow Cab are also available, but you should only take one if you pre-negotiate a fixed fare.
