One of the most popular questions when a couple gets engaged is "How did he do it?" For our engagement, Noah and Carli had planned to go for a hike in the Eau Claire Dells (not far from Wausau.... despite the misleading name). As they were getting ready Carli could see a large, pink box in Noah's pocket. Of course this meant that she would wear her favorite romper (because who goes hiking in a romper, right?). After arriving at their hiking location, Noah and Carli began their to walk around. They went down trails, saw the rocks by the water, and passed a really large rock overlooking the park. After roughly 20 minutes, Noah starts to tell Carli that they should go back to the large rock that they already passed because it was "pretty cool." Despite questioning him, Carli agreed. When they arrived at the rock, Noah noticed all of the people around and said, "Nevermind it's not that cool." After starting down the trail again, Noah began looking for a new spot. He walked down the same trail twice, made Carli follow him back, then walked past the same bench two more times. At that point Carli looked at him and said, "Can you just do it? This spot is perfectly good and I don't want to walk in another circle." Noah then set his phone up against a tree... because that's a totally normal thing that he does... and popped the question. Despite knowing it was coming, Carli was just as surprised and ecstatic.
