We met for brunch at a waterfront café in Seattle. A milestone day for obvious reasons, but most importantly it's arguably the only thing we've ever done that Kiano wasn't late to. We enjoyed our meal and chatted for hours, Kiano got sunburned (as usual), and the rest is history! We've spent every possible day together since.

We left our house at 3:30 a.m. and headed to Chinook Pass to catch the sunrise. We sat at a viewpoint, ate some oatmeal, and watched the sky change colors as the sun came up. After the sun rose, we made our way to a trailhead and took a short walk to a frozen lake with a picture-perfect view of Mount Rainier. At 5:52 a.m. Kiano got down on one knee and I said yes!
