We recently crossed this hike off our bucket list and have officially decided to keep it on there because it was so spectacular. It is a HIKE - with several spots being so steep they actually had to build stairs into the rocks so you don't fall. It's about a 5 hour hike round trip so we definitely recommend doing this first thing in the morning.
A Pearson staple, this bar is home to some incredible Pearson stories and has come to be one of our favorite places to frequent to this day for it's down to earth vibe and cheap beer. PS -- I can't promise you won't find us doing body shot's atop the bar ;)
“Maza pa’ la raza!” Although tacos are not unique to El Paso, the flavor and ingredients used by Taconeta are something you won't find anywhere else in EP. Taconeta's tacos are more akin to tacos from Mexico City than to the border region. It comes centrally located and highly recommended!
Located across the street from Evan's (and his dad's) childhood home, Lost and Found provides a great atmosphere to hang. L&F is located near the Cincinnati Entertainment District where many other bars can be found as well as near UTEP and Kern Place (a good spot for Air BnBs). The trolley also drops off very close so no need to drive!
Featured on Padma Lakshmi's "Taste the Nation," Elemi is deeply rooted in Mexican culture and El Paso's sister city of Juárez. It can be seen as a little bit higher end than Taconeta and harder to get a table! Located in downtown.
If you have the time, this is a HIGH recommend. Cattleman's is an experience like no other. Their steaks are high quality and the grounds are expansive. There is a petting zoo, maze, hayride, a former movie set (Courage Under Fire) amongst other things. It's definitely a drive so maybe stop by on your way in or out of town (if you come in by car on I-10). They also have other options besides steaks, so don't let that discourage you!
