What started as a night at the El Dorado County Fair, where Dylan was too nervous to ask Carley out, eventually led to their first date at Colina De Oro Mexican Restaurant, followed by drinks at Public House in Placerville. Dylan arrived 10 minutes early, and Carley showed up 10 minutes late. Both were nervous about what the date might mean. But before long, there were smiles, laughter, and a pizookie served in a cast-iron skillet. Later, after a River Cats game and fireworks at Raley Field, Dylan was once again nervous to make a move for their first kiss. He waited until they got back to the car to make a move. Being nervous came naturally to them in the early stages of their relationship, but the more time they spent together, the more laughter they shared. The nerves slowly faded as their adventures became more frequent and their feelings blossomed into love. Their love continued to grow like roses in bloom, never standing still for a moment. They had found their soulmates, and everyone around them could see it too. Before long, they both knew they wanted to spend forever together. Their journey has now brought them here, soon to be surrounded by their closest friends and family, to celebrate the love they have built together. For Dylan, he is ready to become an “up the hill boy” to spend his future with the love of his life. For Carley, she says she cannot wait to spend her life with her “dinosaur boy.” Together, they have already built a beautiful life. Carley helped gift Percy and Little Rexy, Dylan’s beloved cats who quickly became his “daughters.” Dylan, in turn, helped shape the character of Carley’s Goldendoodle, Henri, by lovingly bullying him along the way. Their animal full family will also include two chinchillas, the tripod Spumoni and the grump Sweet Pea, and a free range turtle named Tootsie. Their wedding is only the opening chapter in the story they will continue writing together. Their relationship may not have started in the most conventional way as former coworkers, but as friends, they helped each other find peace during life’s hectic moments. And now, as two beans getting married, they get to spend the rest of their lives loving, teasing, supporting, and making each other smile.
