Here we go again! We can't wait to celebrate our weddingaversary with all of you. Though we signed the paperwork last year, we still want to be able to have our special day with our wonderful family and friends. So we hope you can come on out and spend the weekend with us (just 1 year, 11 months, 9 days later than originally planned).
I had to come all the way from the highways and byways of Silver Spring, Maryland to Los Angeles, California to find my true love. If you gave me a million years to ponder, I would never have guessed that true romance and internet dating would ever go together. And to this day, the events that followed all seem like a distant dream: countless orders of cheeseburgers and mac & cheese, hiking the Swiss Alps, finally defeating Sauron and destroying the One Ring. But the dream was real and was to change our lives forever. I kept asking Dylan why everything around us just keeps catching on fire. And he'd say, 'That's the way it goes, but don't forget, it goes the other way too.' That's the way romance is. Usually, that's the way it goes. But every once in a while, it goes the other way too. ♥
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the birds chirping, and all I could smell was the fresh sea air, I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Carlen asks me what I would have done if she hadn't said "hell yes." To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy her with a response. But I always do. I tell her of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are now. Perhaps. Except maybe we wouldn't be inviting all of you to a wedding.
