Casey and Carleigh matched on Hinge in June 2021. Casey helping his best friend, Shane (the officiant), move to Colorado allowed for over a week of daily conversation between the two before their first date. Playing “the question game”, Casey and Carleigh were able to share the humorous, the heartfelt and the serious parts of their lives. By the time of their first date, the relationship already felt like something incredibly special, where love was beginning to grow. For Carleigh, she was surprised to learn about Casey’s deep appreciation for theater and being in plays throughout middle and high school. For Casey, he was surprised to learn just how many classic movies Carleigh hasn’t seen before (Jaws is on the list...). Their love story continued with the two moving in together in September 2022. They grew as best friends and found the person that completes them. As Michael from The Good Place said, “If soulmates exist, they’re not found, they’re made.” And that’s exactly it for Casey and Carleigh – they became each other's soulmate through intention, effort and choosing each other every day. Whether the mundane moments of sitting on the couch and watching TV with their pup, Rocco, and cat, Pheebs, or more lively in going to a concert, they are the happiest when together. One of their favorite activities is to explore near-by towns, with the two visiting Napa, Healdsburg, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Caramel, Marin, Tiburon and Placerville to name a few. They've also had larger trips to Denver, NYC, DR, and Hawaii. A new chapter began on August 29, 2025 when Casey proposed to Carleigh at one of their first date spots, Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreational Park. The two look forward to celebrating this next chapter with their closest friends and family. Let the wedding countdown begin.
