Cory and I first crossed paths on October 5th, 2019. Both of us were at Clarion that weekend celebrating Autumn Leaf Festival with our college roommates and friends. Cory caught my eye at the football game, and we spent the whole second half talking and listening to Tyler Childers and The Beatles. We left the football game, wondering when we would talk or meet again. But later that night, I found Cory dancing to "Wanna be" by the Spice Girls at the bar. From then on, I knew he was a keeper. Two weeks later, on the 19th, he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!

It was the day before my birthday, but the best gift I have ever gotten! Our family and friends were over celebrating Cory and I's birthdays (Mine is on the 5th, his is on the 10th of September). During our birthday party, Cory started complaining about the lights and how they wouldn't stay on. Of course, he called in for backup and as I was walking over to help, Brian Kane flipped the switch. Within the next moment, Cory was down on one knee asking me to marry him... and also asked "am I holding it the right way, is this the right finger?" And I said, “YES!” We have been blessed with the opportunity for us to build our life together. Our family and friends cheered for us, and we were moved by all of the love and well wishes! We continued our night celebrating our love with some of our closest family members and friends. Here comes the next chapter!
