Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be in our Winter Solstice Wedding ceremony & celebration.

Jennifer Miller

Matron of Honor

Jennifer and I have been girlfriends for 65 years. Neither Jennifer or I had a sister, so we became "sisters by another mother". Jennifer lived 2 houses down from my home in Janesville, WI. We spent summer forever together going on numerous adventures, building forts, riding our bicycles, and playing with our dolls. As we got older, we went door-to-door in our neighborhood selling Girl Scout cookies, walking down Black Bridge Road to get our free McDonald's cheeseburgers for the A's on our report cards, biking, riding Jennifer's dog (Ginger, a rather pudgy Terrier) around in my bike's saddlebaskets (Ginger loved this, by the way!), and enjoying HS events (despite Jennifer being a year ahead of me in HS). We continued to stay in close touch after HS, travelling together to Colorado (in Jennifer's small car), and connecting several times at her parents' home in Phillips, WI to cross country ski or relax on the lake on her parents' pontoon boat. But even as life got busier in our work and family lives, we still always kept in touch, sharing many other important life events. I have been extremely blessed to have Jennifer in my life since I was five years old.....she is my forever friend!

Annelise & Marcus Eeman

Best Woman & Best Man

When I was pondering who should be my Best Man and Best Woman, I realized that the best man and best woman I know are my two children, Annelise & Marcus. Annelise has been enjoying the world and giving out joy her whole life--whether with family, friends, pets, rivals, and even strangers. She has been a loving delight in my life, and to have her walk me down the aisle to be with Sue, is joy upon joy. I am grateful for her blessing and support, and I cherish her continued presence in my life. Marcus has always eyed life with careful fun, assessing the curve balls of living. When he decides on something or someone, he gives all of himself. His delight at what Sue & I have with each other means the world to me, and his blessing and loving support is one I will always cherish. Thank you, my Best Woman & Best Man, for being the BEST children I could ever imagine! You have both enriched my life beyond words!

Elizabeth Miller

Honor Attendant

I was honored to be chosen as the Godmother for Elizabeth (daughter of my Matron of Honor and "forever friend", Jennifer). Being a Godmother has been a gift I've greatly cherished! I have fond memories of hosting Elizabeth and her family at my home from the time she was 6 months old, to when we toured St. Paul viewing the Charlie Brown statues, to going to Valley Fair Amusement Park and "surviving" a ride on one of the biggest roller coasters ever(!), to watching her perform with her HS Dance team at the Minnepolis Convention Center. I've greatly enjoyed watching Elizabeth grow into a wonderful and strong woman over these years! Elizabeth will be walking-me-down-the-aisle (with my other Godddaugther, Michaela) to "give me away" at our wedding.

Michaela Klein

Honor Attendant

I was honored to be chosen as the Godmother for Michaela (daughter of Becky Klein, one of my dearest friends, who sadly died of breast cancer in 2009). Being Michaela's Godmother has been a gift I've greatly cherished throughout the years! I have fond memories of taking 3 yo Michaela to a movie where she was too little to hold the seat down but sat quietly and watched the whole movie, to when we went to a Star Trek Convention and she had to "settle me down" when I encountered some of the stars of that show! :-) I've greatly enjoyed watching Michaela grow into a wonderful and strong woman over these years! Michaela will be walking-me-down-the-aisle (with my other Godddaugther, Elizabeth) to "give me away" at our wedding.
