NO! As much as we love people enjoying and sharing our times together, during the ceremony we ask that all cellphones and cameras are turned off or put away. Thank you so much for understanding. Our photographer will slap the phone out of your hand if he sees it out - Josh
On average the weather is mid 60s in the day and down to low 50s at night with little to no rain expected, knock on wood. The wind can make it seem like its colder than it is so keep that in mind. If the sweaters don't warm you up maybe an Irish Coffee or a Guiness will. I would recommend dressing warm if you are used to Florida temperatures. You will most likely need a light jacket, sweaters each day, pants and sneakers if you plan to walk around and be comfortable. There is no other formal attire needed besides the day of the wedding. The day of the wedding and the recption are Black Tie. This means a tuxedo or dark formal suit with tie for gentlemen and a formal floor length gown for ladies.
We suggest Dublin (DUB) for the most economical route. It's about a 3hr ride from there to the castle. Belfast (BFS) is closer but more expensive typically. Enniskillen (ENK) is the closest but it's a small, local airport. You can try for here but will be difficult to find flight options.
https://belle-isle.com/contact There are cottages that are a few steps away from the castle. Please book this by emailing the castle directly.
Yes
If you plan to also sight see then yes, renting a car is smart. There is no preferred rental for this be we do recommend adding the extra insurance. Most roads are narrow and have walls on the side instead of a shoulder
Yes, if you plan to spend cash. Most places take Visa and MC with no problem. Amex had the least amount of options. You will need to exchange to pounds as they do not accept euros in most of Northern Ireland.
At minimum you have the castle and cottages from the 14th-18th for our personal and private use. If you want to plan free time before or after we hear flights to London are super affordable as well as ($25-$80 round trip)
We will have a Coach bus available for guest on 9/14 at 2pm from the Dublin Airport to Belle Isle Castle. This will only be for transport to the Castle. As everybody has a different schedule you are responsible for your transportation back.
