Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Carina Inganamort and Steve Inganamort
There are endless things to do on the Amalfi Coast! From strolling the cobblestone streets, to enjoying cafes, beaches, shopping, and excursions, there's something for every age and interest!
Day Trip: Capri

Day Trip: Capri

There are many small day trips you can take from Sorrento or Positano (Amalfi, Atrani, Praiano, Ravello, etc.) via ferry boat. We recommend visiting the island of Capri! Take a cable car to the top of the island (or brave the long, uphill walk) and enjoy beautiful restaurants, shops, and scenery! They also have pristine beaches and boat tours to the famous Blue Grotto.

Day Trip: Pompeii

Day Trip: Pompeii

You can easily visit this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site at the base of Mt. Vesuvius! Pompeii is only a short 40 minute train ride from Sorrento and you can visit without a guide. Not recommended for those who are sensitive or have very small children.

Boat Tours

Boat Tours

Booking a private boat for the day is a fun way to see the coast from a different perspective! We recommend using GetYourGuide or Viator for tours as you may get a better deal than booking in person on the beaches.

Path of the Gods Hike

Path of the Gods Hike

Feeling adventurous? This moderately-challenging hike offers views of the coast from up above. Hire a guide or try it yourself! The entire hike is around 3.5 miles and takes the average hiker 3-4 hours. Note: it does involve stairs.

Cooking Classes

Cooking Classes

Immerse yourself in Italian culture and cuisine with a cooking class! Again, we recommend booking these through GetYourGuide or a similar service. And yes, they even have a gluten-free option!

Cafes and Ristorantes

Cafes and Ristorantes

We are not going to recommend specific restaurants, because you CANNOT go wrong. Out of all of the times we have been to Italy, we have yet to have a meal that did not exceed our expectations. You are going to one of the food capitals of the world, so foodies - enjoy!

Beaches in Sorrento

Beaches in Sorrento

There are a few spots that are considered free public beaches, but the majority of the shoreline is owned by various beach clubs. This is great because you have access to restrooms, food, drinks, deck chairs and umbrellas. But be prepared to pay! NOTE: don't plan to be barefoot unless you have tough feet. The beaches are made of pebbles!
