Do I need a passport or visa?

Answer

If you’re traveling from the U.S., a valid passport is required. No visa is needed for stays under 180 days. Check your passport now to make sure it’s up to date! Si viaja desde EE. What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN)—it’s about 1 hour from the venue. Vuelen al Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún (CUN); está a aproximadamente 1 hora del salon.

When should I arrive in Mexico?

Answer

We recommend arriving by Wednesday, January 14 or Thursday, January 15 to settle in and relax. However, there are plenty of direct flights to Cancun, flying the morning of is possible. Recomendamos llegar el miércoles 14 o jueves 15 de enero para acomodarse y relajarse. Sin embargo, hay muchos vuelos directos a Cancún; es posible volar esa misma mañana de la boda.

There are great resorts and Airbnbs near our venue, Playa del Carmen having the most options. We’ll be sharing recommendations soon to make planning easier! What is the dress code?

Answer

Think beach formal: light fabrics, elegant vibes. Dressy sundresses, linen suits, and shoes you can dance in are perfect. The ceremony will be on the beach and for the reception we will be under a palapa that has wooden floor. Piensen en formal de playa: telas ligeras y un ambiente elegante. Vestidos de verano arreglados, trajes de lino y zapatos cómodos para bailar. La ceremonia será en la playa y la recepción será bajo una palapa con piso de madera.

What’s the weather like in January?

Answer

January in the Riviera Maya is warm and breezy usually around 75–85°F. It’s perfect beach weather, but a light jacket for the evenings might come in handy. Enero en la Riviera Maya es caliente y con brisa, generalmente entre 75 y 85 °F. Es clima perfecto de playa, pero un suéter ligero para las noches podría ser útil.

What currency is used in Mexico?

Answer

Mexican Peso (MXN) is the local currency. USD and credit cards are also widely accepted. Having a mix of both is recommended. El Peso Mexicano (MXN) es la moneda local. También se aceptan dólares y tarjetas de crédito. Se recomienda llevar una combinación de los dos.
