Wedding Party

Kayla Cardona

Bride

Curtis Blauch

Groom

Adam Shelton

Best Man

Has known the Groom for many years now. They first met during a gym workout when Adam was starting his new gym. What began as training quickly turned into a close friendship, eventually leading to Curtis living with Adam for a while too. Adam had become a brother, someone who consistently supports, teaches, and pushes Curtis to be his best.

Garrett Blauch

Groomsman

Garrett is Curtis’ brother and one of his lifelong best friends. Growing up, they shred many of the same hobbies and spent countless hours together. Even though they now live far apart, they always find ways to stay connected- most often through online video games.

Michael Kern

Groomsman

Mike was one of the first friends Curtis made after moving to Virginia. They met on the same kickball team and instantly became close- thanks in part to a classic I ‘have you met Ted?’ Moment inspired by their favorite sitcom. Since then, they’ve remained close friends even after Mike moved away, they’ve made an effort to stay in touch. Whenever they reunite, it’s as if no time has passed at all!

Rick Massey

Groomsman

Rick is another close friend of Curtis’ that he met through the gym. Over the years he has shared countless life lessons and has always been someone Curtis can rely on. He is also the one who first introduced Curtis to Waters Edge Church- Where down the road Curtis would meet Kayla. No matter the situation Rick is the kind of person who will drop everything to help and lead by example.

Brian Pittman

Groomsman

Brian a.k.a. Pitt is another close friend of Curtis’ that he met through the gym, where countless hours of hard work and sweat built a strong bond between them. Whether it was Spartan races or other adventures, they were always the ones riding and bunking together along the way. Known for always bringing the best fits to any workout. Pit adds both style and energy wherever he goes.

Sarah Wells

Maid of Honor

Sarah is the kind of friend who comes into your life later, but somehow feels like she’s been there forever. She and Kayla met back in 2020 through a Facebook group (I know—crazy!), connecting as a source of support for one another. Even though they both lived in Virginia, it took nearly two years before they finally met in person—but by then, their bond was already something special. Their friendship is rooted in unconditional love, always showing up for each other and pushing one another to be the very best versions of themselves. Since that first meeting, they’ve been inseparable. From trying new bagel spots, to watching Inside Out, to nights out in Nashville, their friendship is full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Sarah truly is Kayla's person and she couldn't imagine standing at the altar without her by her side.

Alana Ottaway

Bridesmaid

Alana and Kayla have been best friends since the fourth grade—a friendship that truly goes way back. As only children without nearby family, they leaned on each other and quickly became the family you choose. From the very beginning, Alana’s parents, Carol and David, welcomed Kayla with open arms and treated her as one of their own. From sleepovers and weekly Rita’s runs to winery days later on, they’ve shared every stage of life together. Though complete opposites growing up, Alana has always brought a sense of calm to Kayla and has been her steady, listening ear.

Megan Furlough

Bridesmaid

Megan and Kayla met while attending Christopher Newport University, when Kayla joined Zeta Tau Alpha. During big/little dates, they instantly bonded over their shared love of Gossip Girl and Lilly Pulitzer, and their connection was immediate. Since then, Megan has truly stepped into a big sister role in Kayla’s life. She has been there through some of Kayla’s most challenging moments, always offering honest, tough love when it’s needed most. Megan is a devoted mom to Rylie and Harper, a God-fearing woman, and someone who inspires Kayla to always give her all.

Madison Hudgins

Bridesmaid

Madison is another friendship that came into Kayla’s life later, but quickly became something so meaningful. When Kayla moved back from California and began teaching at Dare, it was Madison’s very first year—and from that moment on, their connection grew both inside and outside the classroom. Their friendship is pure and a true reflection of what God intends friendship to be. They pray for one another, attend Waters Edge Church together, and continually pour into each other’s lives. Madison brings such a positive spirit wherever she goes and is always ready for a good time. Kayla is so grateful to have a friend like her by her side.

Lindsay Boone

Bridesmaid

Lindsay and Kayla met at a 757ROC Friday Night Lights event—what felt like a bit of a blind date set up through the gym. They quickly realized they had so much in common, from both attending Christopher Newport University to being part of Zeta Tau Alpha, and instantly connected over their love of running and coffee. Since then, Lindsay has been the kind of friend you can always count on—someone who will do anything for the people she loves. Whether they’re running, attending 757ROC, trying new food spots, or serving together at Waters Edge Church, their friendship is full of fun, faith, and support.

Daisy Cardona

Mother of the Bride

Daisy, the mother of the bride, has always shared a close and special bond with Kayla. She has always gone above and beyond to provide for her daughter, loving her with a depth that is truly unmatched—when Kayla hurts, she hurts, and when Kayla is happy, she is too. She gives endlessly, always putting others before herself, and is the true definition of selfless.

Jose Cardona

Father of the Bride

Jose, the father of the bride has always been a constant support for his daughter. He has always worked hard to provide anything he can for his family. Kayla's favorite memories with Jose is attending car shows growing up and attending Yankees Baseball Games together. Jose has always been a listening ear and a source of support for his daughter. Kayla will always be a daddy's girl.

Connie Franklin

Mother of the Groom

Connie is Curtis‘s mom and the woman who raised him into the person he is today. She has always been his biggest supporter – even if sometimes she thinks his hobbies are, in her own words, “out of control”. No matter how busy life gets Curtis still makes it a point to call her every Sunday. He’s incredibly grateful for her constant love support and guidance through his life.

Dave Blauch

Father of the Groom

David is Curtis‘s dad and the man who taught him how to be the best version of himself. From a young age, he instilled Curtis the values of hard work, determination, and going after what you want in life. He has always been a role model and someone Curtis looks up to. He is also the one Curtis shares his love of hockey with – making him a Pittsburgh Penguins fan for life!
