Dreams offers deals on golf at a few local courses where they waive the green fees but do charge mandatory cart fees ranging from $55-130(!) per person and potentially additional charges to play at peak times. MAYAN RUINS
Depending on how much time you want to spend traveling, you can find some impressive Mayan Ruins as close as 20 minutes away or a few hours drive. El Rey - near Cancun and good for a half-day outing Tulum or Chichen-Itza - farther out but worth a full-day if you have the time.
PUERTO MORELOS
Take a short cab ride, rent a bike, or walk a couple of miles down the beach to this authentic fishing village typical of the Mexican Caribbean with a calm, bohemian and relaxed atmosphere. Do some shopping, have something different for lunch, or just walk around and take in the culture. A fun little do it yourself excursion if you want to get away from the resort.
