We met at a bar in college and ended that night with a street slice of Bruno's pizza (now the name of our dog!). We never expected going from college kids eating pizza on the street at 2 am to becoming "Miami mergers" but we're both so glad we chose Miami.

I'd been trying desperately to get John more into hiking so when he started asking on a routine weekend hiking trip "so what will be the best hike today with the best view?" I was so excited that he had finally gotten into it. Turns out, he was just looking for the best spot to pop the question. We reached the top of Rough Ridge in Boone, NC and were overlooking the scenery around us when he asked me to marry him. I did make him finish out the hiking itinerary before heading back to town to celebrate and call our loved ones... We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
