We're getting married!

Cara and Joe met in 2018 at a bar in Washington, D.C. Cara saw Joe standing by the bar when she was about to leave. She decided to try her luck with a cheesy pickup line, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Joe proposed to Cara on January 7, 2023 at the Lincoln Memorial. After a long day of pampering and activities that she initially believed were birthday celebrations, Cara was told there was an art show near the Lincoln Memorial that Joe really wanted to go to. The day was long and it was late, but Cara agreed. Joe took Cara to the Lincoln Memorial around 11 pm at night and they had the entire place to themselves. He walked her up to the top of the Memorial, got down on one knee, and popped the question. Joe hired a photographer and planned everything perfectly. It was a beautiful moment that they will both cherish for the rest of their lives. They are both so excited to celebrate with their friends and family who have played such an important role in their relationship. See you in Durham!
