Question

The Altitude!

Answer

For those visiting the area for the first time, please be aware that Beaver Creek has a base elevation of 8,100 ft, so it is common to feel some impact from the high elevation (headache, fatigue, etc.). A good rule of thumb is to drink twice as much water as you would at home. Note, alcohol will affect you much more quickly at altitude! We will have cans of oxygen, Advil, electrolytes and other remedies available to help alleviate any symptoms. Question

When should I arrive in Beaver Creek?

Answer

Our wedding events will take place on the evening of Friday, August 1st through the morning of Sunday, August 2nd. If you would like to extend your trip before or after the wedding, the room block rates are available. Adam, Cara, and our families will be in Beaver Creek the entire week before so would be excited for you to come early and spend more time together!

Question

What is the weather like in Beaver Creek?

Answer

Summer in the Vail Valley is beautiful! Typically it is sunny and temperatures are around 75-80 degrees. There are sometimes quick afternoon thunderstorms. In August, the sun sets around 8pm MT and it cools down, so we recommend bringing a sweater.

Question

How do I get around Beaver Creek?

Answer

The Vail Valley (incl. Vail, Beaver Creek, & Avon) is extremely well-connected via public transportation through their shuttle systems. Beaver Creek Village offers the free "Village Connect" shuttle system, which offers transportation throughout Beaver Creek, including to / from the Ritz. The app, which allows you to view the schedule & call the shuttle (basically works like a free Uber!) , is available for download at this link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/village-connect/id1357326540. The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch offers free shuttles to / from Beaver Creek Village.

Question

Will I need a car throughout the weekend?

Answer

No, unless this is your personal preference to explore the area! All events on the wedding day will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, where the room block is located. Public transportation or Uber/Lyft are available to those staying outside of the hotel but may vary depending on location.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding day?

Answer

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer
