Tee times can officially be booked for the weekend by calling the golf shop at 207-594-1431. Celebrating over one hundred years of premier Maine golf, the Samoset Golf Course continues to inspire players of all skill levels with its breathtaking ocean vistas and one of the most challenging finishing holes in New England. Meandering along Rockport’s scenic coastline and through the woods, the Samoset’s 18-hole championship golf course boasts seven oceanside holes and 14 holes with spectacular views of the Atlantic. Relax Poolside @ Samoset
The Samoset Resort’s tranquil outdoor pool area includes a "zero-gravity" entry pool, multi-tiered deck, hot tub and the Splash Pool Bar, our full-service café offering delicious light fare, cocktails, and even a special kid’s menu. The deck also features a cozy fire pit area with soft seating.
Visit Breakwater Lighthouse
Located directly off of the resort's oceanfront, the Breakwater Lighthouse is a historic complex at the end of the breakwater in the harbor. The breakwater is a 7/8 mile long walk made entirely of granite stones (so wear proper footwear!).
Explore Camden
Located 10-minutes north of the resort, Camden is a haven for ocean lovers, shoppers and outdoor adventurers. Explore the area, shop, and enjoy oceanfront restaurants. Peter Ott's on the Water, Sea Dog Brewery, and Waterfront are a few of our favorites! For those feeling adventurous enjoy a hike or drive up Mt. Battie for panoramic views of Penobscot Bay.
Explore Rockland
Located 5-minutes down the road from the resort, Rockland Maine is a vibrant City located in the heart of Midcoast Maine, on the Penobscot Bay. Rockland is one of the biggest shipping centers of lobster in the world, and is renowned for its traditional working waterfront and expansive harbor. Its thriving historic downtown has an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and art galleries, and boasts a number of highly acclaimed farm to table restaurants and eateries.
Owl's Head Lighthouse State Park
Owls Head Lighthouse sits majestically atop an 80-foot bluff overlooking Penobscot Bay, near the entrance to Rockland Harbor along Midcoast Maine. Once atop the lighthouse visitors have the chance to admire the gorgeous fourth order Fresnel lens that dates back to 1856 while enjoying panoramic views of the bay, islands and marine traffic, including Maine’s elegant windjammer fleet.
Cellardoor Winery
Located 25-minutes north of the resort Cellardoor winery offers tours, tasting, or just the option to hang out and drink wine! Made in Maine, their award-winning wines are created in small, handcrafted batches with grapes sourced from their on-site vineyard as well as premier vineyards across the country.
Primo Restaurant
Located in a renovated 1880's Victorian, Primo is widely considered one of Maine's best restaurants. Owned and operated by Chef Melissa Kelly, 2013 James Beard Foundation Award Winner, Primo serves up an unparalleled Italian-inspired farm-to-table experience.
Archer’s on the Pier
Located on Rockland Harbor, Archer's is a casual local seafood eatery that offers views of the Rockland Breakwater, harbor and several marinas with both inside and deck side dining.
Sea Dog Brewing Co.
Brewed in Maine, Sea Dog Brewery offers a wide assortment of beers on tap (and is located right in the heart of downtown Camden). Stop in for a flight and some apps! We recommend the wild blueberry beer ;)
Waterman's Beach Brewery
Located 20-minutes from the resort, Waterman's offers waterfront views and a variety of beers brewed on-site with all local ingredients.
Sweetgrass Winery & Distillery
Located 25-minutes from the resort, Sweetgrass Winery & Distillery crafts wines and spirits made from fruits and grains grown right in Maine. They also have a farm and creamery on site, and visitors may also enjoy hiking their on-site trails, picnic area, and gardens.
Savage Oakes Vineyard & Winery
Located 15-minutes from the resort, Savage Oakes is another great option for wine tastings and vineyard touring.
