Flight

Miami International Airport (MIA)

The closest/most direct airport to fly to is Miami International Airport. Key Largo is then just over a one hour drive south. There is no public transportation down to the Keys, so the best bet would be ride shares, rental cars or shuttle services from the airport. Once we are in Key Largo, everything is very close, and if you do not rent a car, there is ride share available for the time in which you are in Key Largo. If you plan on exploring the keys after the wedding, we highly suggest renting a car. We can also help coordinate rides once people know their travel plans if anyone is interested in carpooling or caravanning.

Key West International Airport (EYW)

If you plan on starting your trip in the keys, you can also fly into Key West first. From there, you would drive just about two hours north to Key Largo for the wedding. Flying home from Key West would also be a good option for those who want to join us in Key West after the wedding and just fly home from there instead of driving all the way back up to Miami.

Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL)

Although a little further away (approximately 2 hours driving), flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale tends to be the most affordable option.

Key Largo Inn

Key Largo Inn offers a quaint, historic, Caribbean style hotel centrally located in Key Largo close to all activities and within a short walk of many fine restaurants. The property includes a swimming pool, full liquor bar, SCUBA dive shop and adjacent popular wine bar. They provide free high speed internet access and free breakfast items daily. They typically are known in the area for offering the “Best Rates in the Keys.” They offer an alternative to the expensive resorts for travelers on a budget but who want full access to all that Key Largo has to offer for a relaxed get-away. Key Largo Inn is just a three minute drive to the wedding venue.

The Courtyard by Marriott, Key Largo is nestled in a marina as an oasis of comfort and convenience. Providing easy access to John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park, Dolphin Cove and Jacob's Aquatic Center, the hotel in The Florida Keys boast an ideal location near all things Florida Keys. The Courtyard Marriott is just a three minute drive from the wedding venue.

There are many available Airbnbs and Vrbos in the Key Largo area as well. Please keep in mind that if you stay at a private residence, our trolley transportation service cannot pick you up where you are staying. Trolley services will operate out of local hotels to and from the wedding venue.

Rental cars are available at Miami, Fort Laudedale, and Key West International Airports. Please keep in mind though which rental car companies operate out of each airport if you will be flying in and/or out of a different airport when you are coming and going.

Another way to rent cars, and will likely get you the best rates! One thing to note though about Turo, depending on your start and finish, it does not operate out of Key West.

Springs Island Taxi

If you aren't renting a car, another option for group travel outside of ride share is Springs Island Taxi, operating out of Key Largo but transporting groups of 4+ to and from the Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Key West airports. Please reach out via the number provided to pre-arrange this service. As quoted from Spring herself, the rate is $175 from Miami for up to 4 people and $250 from Ft Lauderdale. She also goes to Key West for $250.

Traveling South to Key Largo

If you are driving from the Fort Lauderdale or Miami airport, you will stop through a couple of cool spots on your way down. Robert is Here is a family-owned Fruit Stand in Homestead specializing in rare & exotic fruits and vegetables (https://www.robertishere.com/) The Everglades Alligator Farm, also located in Homestead, is open daily from 9:00-5:30 and offers airboat tours, alligator shows, and Everglades tours (https://everglades.com/) Schnebly Redland's Winery & Brewery in Homestead is a cute spot to stop off with their avocado and tropical wines, and a beautiful waterfall. Enjoy a glass of wine or pint of beer before getting to Key Largo (https://schneblywinery.com/)
