Sunny. Warm. Hot. Humid. Tropical!
Don't worry, we've got you covered ... literally! We've have the BEST Wedding Planner who has lived in the Keys for many years. She will help navigate us in those decisions as needed.
We will be on the beach almost the whole time. Light weight clothes, bathing suits, beach shoes (not a high heels spot!), a light cardigan or shawl just in case, and sunscreen! There is no Walmart/Target once you get into the Keys, just a Publix (which may be slim pickins), so be sure to pack what you want to wear!
Generally, Key Largo does have ride shares because it is the closest Key to Miami, but if you intend to travel throughout the islands, you will want a more reliable transportation option like a rental car or private shuttle service. If you are staying in or exploring anywhere between mile markers 72-90, you can use FreeBee, a free service in the village of Islamorada just south of Key Largo.
The sun and moon rise on the Ocean side. The sun sets on the Bay side. The Keys use mile markers to communicate where everything is on the chain of islands, so keep an eye out for the little green signs with numbers on the right-hand side of the road as you travel up and down the keys. For reference, Key West = MM0, Marathon = MM75-89, Tavernier = MM90-94, and Key Largo = MM95-106. The highways can be a very dangerous place here, so please be very careful if you decide to walk anywhere. Try to keep your workout routine on resort property and avoid walking at night if you can!
