Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are taking place at the Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach. The ceremony will be in the courtyard after which guests will enjoy a cocktail hour on the rooftop, followed by dinner and dancing in the courtyard/lounge of the Shade.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will host a welcome party the evening of Friday, October 13th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at The Strand House. Please see the "Schedule" page for more details.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones but our wedding is an adult (21+) only event. We greatly appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire, we would love to have our friends and family dress up for our special day! Examples include - cocktail dresses, formal jumpsuits, and suits (ties optional).

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is only a 15-minute drive to Manhattan Beach. We highly recommend LAX relative to other area airports. See our "Travel" page for more information.

What is the typical weather in Manhattan Beach in October? Will I be outside for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Manhattan Beach will be in the low-to-mid 70s and sunny during the day; at night low 60s and slightly windy. We recommend bringing both sunglasses and a light jacket. The ceremony and reception will take place in roofless courtyard, therefore we recommend bringing a light layer with you if you are wearing anything sleeveless.
