Q + A

Question

When should we RSVP?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP, if possible, promptly after receiving our invitation. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you RSVP by April 10th, 2025 using the RSVP tab on this website. Unfortunately, any unanswered invitations after that date will have to be marked as "not attending".

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests attend in formal garden party attire. We would love to see you in bright bold colors and/or floral patterns. Women please refrain from wearing white. Tuxedos aren’t necessary but consider a suit! As most of you know, we love being outdoors. Weather-permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors, with our cocktail hour in an open-air area, and our reception indoors. Please keep this in mind when deciding what to wear!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, our space at the venue is limited so we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event (unless indicated or discussed otherwise). When you go to RSVP on this site, it will display the number included in your party. We encourage you to consider it a date night away from the kiddos!

Question

Can we bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, our space at the venue is limited. Your invitation will list the number of guests you are welcome to bring.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please note that the invitation states 4:30pm. Our ceremony is set to start at 4:45pm, so we ask that you arrive by 4:30pm to ensure you have enough time to park and find a seat.

Question

Are there hotels nearby?

Answer

While we will have a block of rooms at two of the local hotels, there are many accommodations in the area to choose from. Feel free to stay at any of the hotels, especially if you plan on drinking. We have reserved limited blocks of rooms at both Hilton Home2Suites Dayton South and Marriott Residence Inn Miamisburg for the weekend. Please use code CSW for both Hilton and Marriott. Please be sure to request an early check-in if you'd like to get into your room prior to our 4:30pm ceremony! ** We have been made aware of an issue with the Marriott code, they have offered code CS1 as an alternative, please try booking with this code if CSW does not work. **

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes! Drinks and appetizers will be provided between the ceremony and reception. There will be an open bar so we ask that all guests please drink responsibly and do not drive if you plan on drinking. Please make arrangements for a safe ride home or to your hotel. We can't wait to celebrate!

Question

Is there anything else that we should know about?

Answer

Our venue, Magnolia Estate, features two different event halls. Our ceremony and reception will be held at the site closest to the street, Magnolia Barn. The site with a longer driveway leading to a two-story building is not our event hall, it is Magnolia Redwood Manor. You will need to turn around and enter the adjacent driveway leading to Magnolia Barn. There will be signs outside.
