Our Favorite Spots

The Wedding Website of Amanda Marshall and Eli Enav
Planning on making a trip out of our wedding weekend? Check out some of our favorite places on the Cape (especially in Sandwich where we always stay)!
Our Food Spots!

Our Food Spots!

Amanda has always grown up coming to Sandwich, and being foodies we of course have our favorite places to get some grub. -Seafood Sam's: Amanda's been going here since she was a baby! She loves their Fish n' Chips & Steamers. -Brown Jug: Cute spot for delicious wood-fired pizza and gourmet treats (Amanda's Mom's pick). -Beth's: A family favorite for scones with clotted cream and jam, pastries, breakfast egg wraps and coffee! -Cafe Chew: Delicious organic sandwiches - (Aunt Linda's fave!) -Sweet Tomatoes: Delicious thin, crust pizza (a Cousin Phil go-to) -Fisherman's View: Beautiful spot on the marina for a nicer dinner. -Pilot House: Great for evening drinks on the Sandwich Marina featuring backyard games and outdoor food! -Sagamore Inn: HUGE lobster rolls and yummy clam chowder! - Off the Grid BBQ: Awesome outdoors spot with a bar! -Marshland Restaurant & Bakery: We LOVE a good diner and Marshlands is quite the greasy joint (Amanda's Step Dad's go-to for coffee and a newspaper).

Sandwich Boardwalk

Sandwich Boardwalk

We love walking the boardwalk! Amanda has always loved this boardwalk - she used to jump off during high-tide as a kid, swim through the marsh and relax on the sand. People still jump off the bridge during high-tide, and you can catch small, green crabs off the boardwalk at low-tide by simply tying a raw hotdog or piece of chicken to a long string and putting it in the water near the marsh!

Cape Cod Canal

Cape Cod Canal

Cape Cod Canal was built in 1909. Amanda's Papa for years would get up at 4am to go down to the rocks and catch big fish - which her Grandma later turned into delicious fish cakes for dinner! The canal is 7 miles long and features a lovely, flat path for running, biking, rollerblading and more! Amanda's Grandma is an avid walker and her favorite walk is from her cottage to the canal - she loves the saltwater air and watching people fish off the rocks to catch big striped bass! If you want to learn more about the history of the canal, be sure to check out the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center! While on the Canal, you'll also likely see the US Coast Guard crew outside playing volleyball on their front lawn next to Seafood Sam's!

Sandwich Ice Cream Spots

Sandwich Ice Cream Spots

We have two favorite spots for ice cream in Sandwich that we frequent on a daily basis (when in Rome, right?) -Twin Acres: Amanda's Papa's favorite because he loved their soft-serve and they have a TON of flavor and topping options -Shipwreck: Eli's favorite because they have bunnies and turtles you can look at while waiting for your frozen treats!

Historic Sandwich

Historic Sandwich

In addition to being a traditional Cape Cod beach town, Sandwich is the oldest town on the Cape! Established in 1637, you can still visit old structures and cemeteries from way back in the day! It's not too large so it makes for a lovely morning or afternoon stroll. Some cool places to check out: -Dan'l Webster Inn: Now a hotel and restaurant, the Dan'l Webster Inn has offered lodging for over 300 years! A great spot for a Friday night dinner or Sunday brunch with delicious food, old charm and history, they offer a beautiful conservatory for dining fully enclosed in glass. They even offer afternoon tea like the old Europeans who stayed here way back when! -First Church: Historic church founded in 1683 as the oldest church in Cape Cod and part of the Plymouth Colony Charter and the Mayflower Compact. -Dexter Grist Mill: Such a cool old structure to see! Not far from our wedding venue :) The Grist Mill was built in 1637 and was a working mill until 1881.

Check out some of the best ones below: -Sundance Clothing: Amanda's go-to clothing boutique located near Cafe Chew! -Heart of Stone: Nice for jewelry and small gifts. -SeaSide Boutique: Amanda's Mom, Grandma and Aunt's favorite clothing spot at the Cape. -Modern Vintage: Cute for home goods!

Route 6A Shopping

Route 6A Shopping

6A is our go-to for a beautiful scenic drive through the Cape. We love to roll down the car windows and cruise, stopping along the way into adorable little stores and beautiful antique and art galleries. Check out a few of our favorite stopping points below! -Titcomb's Bookshop: Amanda's favorite bookstore - she buys a book here as soon as she gets to the Cape each summer and reads it while vacationing! -Painted Daisies: Cute jewelry, home goods and gifts. -Tao Water Art Gallery: Super cool Chinese art gallery.

Glass Blower & Museum

Glass Blower & Museum

Sandwich is famous for its glass industry in history! One of the best places to visit when driving down 6A is the "Glass Studio on Cape Cod." Amanda and Eli have multiple, beautiful pieces from this glassblower and Amanda's family has been going to him for years. Amanda's mother and stepdad have a full collection from him, including a custom-piece that holds the glass that Scott stepped on from their wedding day. Depending when you go, you can sometimes watch them blow glass in the studio while also visiting their gallery! The Sandwich Glass Museum is a popular spot to visit when in town. Offering an impressive selection of glass pieces, this is a great place to go to learn about the history of the glass industry in Massachusetts and Sandwich! You can look up times when they are blowing glass in advance and watch as they make beautiful creations.

Heritage Museum & Gardens

Heritage Museum & Gardens

Does this location look familiar? This is our wedding venue! It's also a gorgeous, fully operational botanical garden and museum. While you will be spending our special day with us here, we encourage you to visit on your own and explore more of this wonderful place!

Chapin Memorial Beach

Chapin Memorial Beach

Chapin Memorial Beach is one of the nicest beaches we have been to on the Cape! During low tide you can walk out to an enormous sand dune. There is generally a parking fee, but the beach is public otherwise.

Provincetown "Our Way"

Provincetown "Our Way"

At least once a summer, you can find Amanda, Eli and Amanda's family on a day-trip to Provincetown. While a little touristy, Provincetown is one of the most eclectic and fun spots on the Cape! Provincetown is popular with the LGBTQ community and you often find fun and quirky folks in the streets. Looking for cute dogs? Provincetown is THE SPOT for cute pups and stores that are dog-friendly! Here are some of our favorite things to do: -Eat at the Lobster Pot -Shop at all the adorable shops! If you like art - Provincetown has TONS of galleries! We own a few works from Kyle Ringquist gallery - check Kyle out, he's super nice and has beautiful work! -Sit on the beach and take in the beautiful water -Stay into the evening and attend a drag event! If you are headed home from Provincetown back west on the Cape, definitely check out Moby Dick's for dinner! Affordably priced, they offers delicious seafood including huge lobsters, steamers and more! Even better - they're BYOB!

Famous Places Nearby

Famous Places Nearby

Cape Cod is conveniently located near other awesome places to visit! Check out the below spots: -Martha's Vineyard: Famous for the movie Jaws, Oprah and the Obama's, cookie-cutter homes and where famous actor John Belushi is buried, Martha's Vineyard is just a ferry ride away from the Cape! Martha's Vineyard is a large island, so definitely plan to spend at least 2-3 days there. -Nantucket: Nantucket can be accessed from a ferry off the Cape but is a bit further of a trip. It is a better option for those looking for something a bit less touristy than Martha's Vineyard that is beautiful and picturesque. -Boston: The wonderful and historic city of Boston is only 1 hour from the Cape! -Newport & Providence, Rhode Island: Located en route on your way back south to New York or elsewhere, stop off and visit Newport and/or Providence! Newport is famous for its scenery and gorgeous old mansions, while Providence is the capital of Rhode Island offering lots of history and restaurants.
