Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is limited parking at Lowndes Grove

Will there be transportation provided to the venue?

Answer

No, we will not provide transportation, however it should be a short ~10 minute rideshare or taxi from downtown Charleston. There will be transportation provided at 10 pm after the reception to the after party or Marion Square

What is southern black tie?

Answer

Southern Black Tie is a formal dress code with a relaxed Southern sensibility. Tuxedos are encouraged but not required—dark, formal suits are perfectly appropriate. Long gowns are ideal for women, and color and florals are absolutely welcome. Think classic elegance with warmth, personality, and a touch of Southern charm! Will I have to do a lot of walking?

Answer

There will be minimal walking throughout the evening. Taxis and rideshares may drop guests directly in front of the ceremony lawn. Please note that portions of the event will take place on grass, so we recommend avoiding stilettos and choosing footwear accordingly.

What will the weather be like in May?

Answer

May in Charleston is warm, sunny, and beautifully spring-like. Daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-70s to low-80s, with mild evenings. While rain is always possible, showers are usually brief. We recommend lightweight, breathable fabrics and being prepared for warm weather!

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening with us. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating together.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited. If a plus-one has been extended, it will be noted on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.

What if I have special dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our venue is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and can prepare a special meal if needed. Please let us know in advance when you RSVP so we can ensure everyone is well taken care of.

Band or DJ?

Answer

We have a band but a DJ will play in between sets! If you have a song request, please let us know

Can I stay in an Airbnb or hotel not listed on the website

Yes, please feel free to stay wherever you would like!
