This has become one of favorite spots to enjoy the waterfront with not as much traffic as the usual tourist locations (ie Alki). Here you can rent specialty cycles, cruiser bikes, tandem bikes, and more to take in the bike/walking trails. You'll also find restaurants, shopping and a spray park for the kids. In the summer they host farmers markets and outdoor concerts.
Want to keep it local to Federal Way? No problem! Visit Redondo Pier, besides the amazing view, this location offers fishing, kayak rentals, as small playground nearby, or can just take a walk along the pier as the sunsets/rises! If you’re hungry, Salty’s is conveniently located right on the board walk. Connie says, “Salty’s has a yummy happy hour and hosts a large brunch every weekend!”
You won’t want to miss out on Snoqualmie Falls and the breathtaking view of the Waterfall! You can hike to the bottom or stay around the top and enjoy the fresh air. Pack a lunch or some snacks and take in Washington’s nature at it’s finest! There is also a hotel with an award winning restaurant and spa if you feel like a splurge.
