Corinthia “Cori Ann” Myrick

Maid of Honor

I've known Camrynn for over fifteen years. We rode the big cheese to and from Southwest DeKalb, and yes, she is my neighbor! I've seen Cam develop over the years, from the shy and less ferocious Diva to the quirky firecracker she is today. We've torn the city up on multiple occasions, and guess who was there when she started her relationship with COACH?! During the season we'd go to Waffle House and talk about everything and nothing. It's been the best of times and well...other times and I love every minute of the ride. We share music often and Sundays, it goes down! Church claps and Soul Smiles. I love you little lady and I made sure this was appropriate cause I didn't want to put out our incriminating stories for the world to see. Ha! Do you remember that time...Nah, never mind. Lol

Curstin “Rae” Askew

Bridesmaid

I love Camryn so much! She’s not only a great big sister, but a hard worker. Every time I talk to her, she’s always at work or resting because she’s been at work all day. We don’t spend as much time as we should together because of how busy both of our lives are. However, we always check up on each other and make sure we’re still alive. Every time we do get together, it’s always a movie!🤣 This is my main sis and we’re bonded by blood. Nothing can ever come between that. We’re stuck with each other whether she likes it or not. -XOXO Curstin

Jada “Play the Radio” Bolden

Bridesmaid

Hmmm.. I met Cammy when I got mi first job here when I moved to Georgia! I’m pretty sure she was mi first friend here too! HA! Working at the studio we then realized we lived right up the street from each other (a solid 8 mins, but only if you go the way I go. for some reason she refused to go that way, her way was like 11. yeah I know) Needless to say, after that we got pretty close! so close I consider this little ray of sunshine mi best friend! She’s so dope and talented! always has me laughing and is truly a blessing to be around! lights up a room when she walks and and will demand attention (like she really will demand it, loud and clear too) haha but I love Cammy so much! I couldn’t be any happier for her! always has mi back and ima always have hers. -XOXO Jada

Shanique “Nique” Brewer

Bridesmaid

My name is Shanique. I’ve been knowing Cam for going on four years. I love Cam! She is unique, smart, kind, and feisty! Cam is a great person, friend, instructor, sister, daughter, and I know for a FACT she’s going to be a GREAT wife. You’re lucky Brown! I love you Cammy!!!! -XOXO NIQUE

Jada “Simon” Andrews

Bridesmaid

I met Camjamberlynn at JDE a little over a year ago, and the day we met she literally made me change my name!!! And I’ve been Simone/Simon ever since that day. Cam has definitely become one of my best friends since then. I love Cam because she is literally ALWAYS there when I need her, and ALWAYS there to listen to my many problems or to talk me off the ledge when I need it. Cam is also my coffee/concert buddy and my chauffeur when I need her. She’s like my mom/big sister/best friend all in one and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love you friend and I can’t wait to see you on your special day! -XOXO Simon

Kailin “Twin” Jones

Bridesmaid

I met Cam through her brother at a party we hosted in like 2014. Before we actually started interacting, people would say we looked alike then when we actually started conversing we realized how similar we really are. I love her because she’s crazy, but cool (just like me), funny and weird (just like me), a true artist (just like me), and she’s unapologetically whoever she wants to be (just like me!). My twin has a heart of gold and will go out of her way to help anybody she can, however she can. What I love the most about our relationship is the real-ness. I can tell her something crazy and she’ll call me out on my bs, or agree w me and add to my great ideas and vice versa. -XOXO Twin

Sammy Brown Jr.

Best Man

So fun fact about me and Herbert. His mom was my mom’s only sister and they both have 3 children. Me and Herb are both first born, and we both have 2 sisters. As faith would have it my mom married a man with the last name Brown and 13 years later his mom married a man with the last name Brown. From that moment going forward Herbert’s family was referred to as the Georgia Brown’s and my family the Mississippi Brown’s. My proudest moment of Herbert was seeing him on the big screen in the movie Drumline! It felt good to see a youngin from the Sipp in a movie ✊🏾 -Ya Boy, Sammy

Royce Smith

Groomsman

I guess you could say I met Zealouis a few times before we became friends. We always saw each other at various percussion events and with each passing event we developed a rapport. In 2012, our friendship began through drums. He invited me to play for the Atlanta Hawks Drumline and we stood next to each other in every single performance. We can talk about anything under the sun, no matter how serious and somehow we find a way to laugh about it. As we went through triumphs and tragedies, my friend became my brother. -Ya Boy, Royce

Darrick Williams

Groomsman

He was HULK RAGING FIRE when I met him. I remember we use to sit around at the Hawks games with other instructors & talk about what sections were good & he would ALWAYS bring up that 1 TIME Miller Grove so-called “CHOPPED US UP” with those DIRTY SNARES, at that time I was only in my 2nd year of teaching at SWD under Hubert, & he was in his 4th year teaching at Miler Grove with Gerrell. So when he would say we chopped yall up I would say OMG YOU’LL SOUND like a bag of skittles hitting the heads the whole night. Once he came back to SWD we began to work with each other & realized we have a lot in common & we love drums as well. Since,we have been through A LOT LOT, & I wouldn’t trade it for anything, & I thank him for MAKING ME A BETTER INSTRUCTOR & NOT MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A TOTAL WEIRDO.

Dasmyn Grigsby

Groomsman

Zealouis and I met in 2003 at SWD. He was my percussion instructor along with Mr. Demetrius Hubert. Even though I knew him as Mrs. Brown’s son, this was my first time knowing him as an instructor of mine. From the very beginning, he has been a mentor as well as a good friend. Through my collegiate career and professional year, he has been someone that I can call on whenever I need advice in life or just advice about the future of my Drumline professional career. I’m just happy that over the last 15+years, I can call him my big brother. -Ya Boy, Das

James Riles III

Groomsman

Now how I met Herbert was of course at the great Morris Brown College Marching Wolverine Band. I had already been there for a few years before his entering in and joining the Drum Line. He was a soft spoken fellow but his snare drum chops spoke very LOUD(sometimes too loud lol). Oddly , our relationship has grown closer since we’ve left MBC. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I guess that’s how God had it set up. He’s a great friend and I’m very happy about his new future. Oh yeah, he loves God too. -Ya Boy, James

Jordan Askew

Groomsman

My relationship with Brown is one that I truly cherish. Whenever I need advice or just someone to talk to, he’s always there and is always honest. Brown is truly a remarkable person. Arguably the funniest person I’ve ever truly met. I’ve had some rough times and each time, he has help through everything. But the most impactful I’ve seen from him, is the growth within my sister. She has truly become an amazing woman. Both Cam and Brown are the true definition of two peas in a pod. -Ya Boy, Jahden

Caelyn Askew

Groomsman

Brother Brown, I can actually say that and know you are officially apart of the family. It’s been a pleasure to have met you and to know that an awesome guy like your self is about to marry my loving sister. I’m not sure how you do it because I know she can be a hand full but I know you can handle cause we always still end up making fun about it a little while after. We’ve had some funny moments together and definitely plan on making a lot more in the near future. Congratulations on the engagement brother and hope for the best for you guys. -Ya Boy, CJ
