Question

When should I expect an invite?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent out by spring 2026 (no later than March) to give everyone plenty of time to make travel arrangements for our September celebration.

Question

When should I rsvp by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 24th, 2026 via the online RSVP tab on our Zola website. We can’t wait to see your response and start finalizing all the fun details!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! All U.S. guests will need a valid passport. Portugal requires your passport to be valid for at least three months beyond your departure date from the Schengen Area.

Question

When should I arrive in Lisbon?

Answer

We’d love for you to arrive at least three days before the wedding to relax, settle in, and soak up the celebration with us — including our welcome party the evening two days before the big day!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve secured a hotel room block for our guests and highly recommend staying there to make the most of the wedding weekend! All booking details, dates, and special rates can be found on our Travel page. You’ll also find additional accommodation recommendations there if you’d prefer something different.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

We are planning to provide a shuttle service to and from the venue for guests staying with us at Dolce by Wyndham CampoReal Lisboa. If you’re staying elsewhere, taxis and ride-shares are easy and convenient options. There is also parking available at the venue if you decide to rent a car.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Our guest list is limited due to venue capacity. If your invitation includes a plus-one, their name will appear on your invite or RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We’re planning an adults-only celebration so everyone can fully relax and enjoy our destination wedding. While we absolutely love your little ones, attendance for children will be limited to those in our immediate family only. We understand that traveling abroad can make childcare more challenging, and we’re happy to share recommendations for trusted local babysitting services for those who would prefer that option. Thank you so much for your understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate together!

Question

Phones during the ceremony

Answer

To help everyone stay present and soak in the moment, we kindly ask guests to keep their phones away during the ceremony. Don’t worry—our professional photographers will capture all the special memories for you to enjoy later!

Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Please dress in formal attire inspired by the colors of the season—think soft greens, rose, dusty pinks, muted pastels, or warm metallics. Bright colors are welcome, but please avoid bold or neon tones. Flowing gowns, vintage-inspired details, and classic suits are encouraged. Kindly avoid casual wear and any shades of white or off-white. Have fun with your outfits and get inspired—we can’t wait to see your looks! Question

Who is invited to the rehearsal?

Answer

The rehearsal is an intimate gathering for the wedding party and close family only. We look forward to celebrating with everyone at the wedding and other events!

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us! That said, if you’d like to browse our registry, you can find it here once it’s live.

Question

Any travel tips for Portugal?

Answer

Absolutely! For first-time visitors to Portugal, here are some handy tips: • Portugal uses the Euro (€), so having some cash is useful, especially in smaller shops or cafes. • Portuguese people are very friendly and appreciate a few words in Portuguese like “Olá” (hello) and “Obrigado/Obrigada” (thank you). • Tap water is safe to drink, so bring a reusable bottle to stay hydrated. • Many streets in Lisbon have cobblestones and hills—comfortable shoes are a must! • Public transportation is reliable and easy to use; trams and metro are great ways to get around. • Try the local pastries like pastéis de nata and enjoy fresh seafood while you’re here! • Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory; around 5-10% is common in restaurants. • Be prepared for warm days and cooler evenings, especially in September—layers are your friend!
