Conveniently located near the wedding venue, Tad's is a Portland institution and longtime favorite dinner hot spot for Julie's family. On Fridays, get the razor clams special. Kyle and Grandma Donna also swear by the chicken and dumplings.
Powell's City of Books
Book lovers at heart, Powell's is a favorite daytime date spot for Kyle and Julie, who can usually be found in the horror and fiction sections.
Fire on the Mountain Buffalo Wings
You won't find better wings than Fire on the Mountain! Locals rave over the spicy peanut sauce, and while there are three locations across town, only the Fremont brewpub serves pizza and calzones.
Screen Door
Take no notice of the line around the block; Screen Door is worth the wait for brunch, happy hour and dinner. Kyle falls for the famous chicken and waffles every time, while Julie's a sucker for the fried oyster po-boy. The Screen Door plate is a no-brainer for dinner. Check out the coffee shop a few doors down while you wait.
Tidbit
Our favorite food cart pod in Portland, Tidbit is located in the popular Division/Clinton neighborhood, and offers a variety of carts, as well as a beer garden, fire pit and frequent live music.
Olympia Provisions NW
One of our favorite restaurants in town, we can't help but crave Olympia Provisions' charcuterie plates - even during brunch!
Flying Pie Pizzeria
Hands down, Flying Pie is our go-to pizza, conveniently located near friends and always ordered with extra sauce! Pro tip: check out the downstairs seating - past the arcade games - if the party room is too rowdy.
Glowing Greens
The location of our second date, putt putt golf remains one of our favorite competitive pastimes. The fact that this indoor course is blacklit and located across the street from Yard House's extensive draft beer offerings just adds to the cheesy appeal.
