Hailey and Evan first met in middle school, when Hailey was in 7th grade and Evan was in 6th. They became friends and rode the school bus together, living just three minutes apart. Their friendship continued through high school, but they eventually lost touch during COVID. In 2024, Hailey and Evan unexpectedly reconnected and spent an entire night talking before Evan finally asked Hailey on a date. It only took him over ten years. They even joked about getting married before their first date. During that date, Evan mentioned he would be leaving soon for an internship in Maryland, while Hailey would be staying in Texas. The next day, they went to brunch, picked up Evan’s little brother from school, and stopped at a coffee shop. From that moment on, it was clear they couldn’t get enough of each other. Though saying goodbye was difficult, they stayed in constant touch while Evan completed his three-month internship in Maryland, and they quickly fell for each other. During long distance, Evan asked Hailey to be his girlfriend. One month later, Hailey traveled to Maryland to visit him, creating memories they will always cherish. When Evan returned to Texas, their relationship only grew stronger. Evan later received a job offer in Virginia, and although moving across the country felt exciting and nerve-wracking, they took the leap together and have had the best time building their life side by side. In October, during sunset, at the top of a Ferris wheel, Evan proposed to Hailey. She had no idea it was coming and was overjoyed. Now they are planning their forever and cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with those they love.
